Slag is looking pretty good. I don’t buy Cyberverse and I might get this.

This guy kinda looks cool, but after my Cyberverse Deluxe Grimlock was such a fiddly mess, I am skipping.

I'm very happy with how it turned out and I love the changes to the design. Very FoC. Giving him a shotgun and an axe was a great decision. I greatly look forward to seeing what other deluxes we get from this line. I'm still holding out hope for Wheeljack.

I’m actually impressed with how this turned out, probably the best Cyberverse figure I’ve seen by far. In fact, this seems like a good package all around: good figure, turns into a dino, and nice amount of accessories.

looks cool nice a tad hollow for me but given who these are aimed at I think this'll do well.

If this were bigger, I'd definitely take this over the SS86 version.

He does look pretty dang cool for a Cyberverse figure. Probably won't pick it up, but I can appreciate it.

At least he looks better than Deluxe Grimlock and already looks to have a better convincing dino mode.

However, we plan to skip this one too, especially after getting GS Slag.

Well bigger would be better but that's subjective. A flame effect part that could be used in dino mode would be nice too.

Just a few minor nitpicks… First is he looks odd without the classic red head. Second is it’s odd seeing him as tall as Arcee in bot mode (yes I know they’re both deluxes, as was Grimlock). This, the heck are those little claws on his feet in dino mode? Don’t recall triceratops having claws.

Past that, he’s awfully good looking. Even the dino mode gun “storage” doesn’t look all that bad.

Respectable, but I disagree. SS86's dino mode is too squat and fat and isn't even on the same tier as this one IMO. The robot modes are a bit more comparable, but I love how the headcrest frames the entire body in this one, and the leg transformation is much better, even if it's a bit more hollow on the bottom, and has better weapons. This accomplishes more with $20 than the SS86 does with $50 IMO.

This one takes the core elements of the design but updates them more and makes Slug more "in your face" with his look, given the much more menacing alt mode and the spikes. The SS86 version is SUPPOSED to be a slavish update to the original so I'm certainly not saying it failed in its job, but this one just looks loads better IMO. Now, if the QC is awful I might change my tune, but right now this is the best thing to come out of Dinobots Unite IMO.

It\'s so funny to me that like, 5 years ago we all would have gone completely NUTS over this, and now it\'s more like \"eh that\'s pretty cool... maybe... I don\'t collect Cyberverse\".

Reminds me of when Cyberverse was announced and everyone was in a tizzy over an AMAZING looking Shockwave to replace the Cyberbattalion one we all had, only to forget about it when Siege Shockwave, a \"mini-masterpiece\" was announced a few months later.

It\'s been an extraordinary few years for Transfans.

I don't have any Cyberverse toys at all and intended not to get any either but he looks so cool! And Släg is my favourite Dinobot! Dammit... I'm gonna have to get this.
I know what happens next... "I only have one, he needs some friends" and then that escalates into buying the whole damn toyline.

To be fair, most of the newer Slugs in the last decade have had black robot heads, Fall of Cybertron being a big one. The original toy had a black head. The cartoon in the 80's was the one time it was red. Also yes Triceratops have claws, they used them for digging and defense. The design on cyberverse slug is a lot more crude and simplified, and sharper, but then again triceratops didn't have spikes on their shoulders either. Here's a triceratops for an example: Beasts of the mesozoic.jpg
