    Late to the party.
The Terrible Trilogy is over for me because I managed to slog through Kingdom.
I literally thought I was done at the end of the 5th episode and was angry when episode 6 started.
I spent the entire episode not caring about anything that was happening nor anyone to which those things were happening.

    Not exactly true.
I did laugh that the Ark had that "dramatic" transformation sequence that happened off camera (of course)
    ...only to crash on Cybertron.
    I mean, why not?
The main theme of the Terrible Trilogy is that The Transformers are incompetent in regarding space travel.

They fly into space at the end of Siege only to be found adrift and comatose at the beginning of Earthrise.
They try to use a Spacebridge during Earthrise but can't because some other Transformers messed it up because they couldn't travel through space either.
Then they do use the Spacebridge and both the Autobots and the Decepticons crash on Earth where the Maximals and Predacons from the future had also crashed.
If I were a Transformer in this continuity there is no way I would ever step foot on an interstellar vehicle.

At any rate, if you are reading this and you hated the Terrible Trilogy but watched it anyway we are non-gender specific brothers.
If you are reading this and you loved it, great. I am glad you enjoyed it. I wish I had, but I didn't.
If you are reading this and you are part of Hasbro or any entity involved in the creation of the Terrible Trilogy I have one thing to say:
    STOP IT!

Stop putting out intellectual detritus with the name Transformers on it.
    Stop.
    You are softening the brand.
If you are making a Transformers show where you can't even show the cast transforming it's time to reconsider what you are doing.

I once again forgot what the show was about while watching it. I legitimately had to search through the forums to remember what the hell happened because this series is so forgettable and it always ended with, oh yeah they did THAT thing.

As stated before, this series really feels like they were given a fuck ton of toys to sell and were told to make sense out of story from it (and from the interviews, it sounds like that's exactly what happened). At this point, I dont even know who to blame anymore, hasbro? The writers? The VAs? People designing it? The people judging it? Everyone? No one? Me for expecting a good TF series?

It just seems like the heart and soul is gone from the series and that truly nobody except the fans actually give a fuck about the franchise anymore. It seriously concerns me for future content especially since they are doing a mass reboot for the franchise fairly soon

The best by far was Siege, but that's still not really saying much.

Everyone is probably to blame in someway but it seems that Hasbro wants these series to be so much, while putting so little into these shows.

I honestly dont get it, they got the money and the resources to do so, but like every other major company they've decided to go the business route and spend the least amount of money and effort possible instead of being creative and making a good series then get surprised when people aren't interested in their new stuff.

It's been said time and time again, they need someone like Kevin Feige who understands and loves the series and knows what the fans want instead of this cheap generic bs. I pray Hasbro gets someone like this soon, but I highly doubt it.

None of that interview is particularly shocking. In fact it sounds just like how Beast Wars was run.

The difference is Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio were incredibly good at rolling with the punches to the point you wouldn't be able to tell while watching, at least up until Season 3 rolls around and Tigerhawk is introduced and then killed off in the span of three episodes. Also Transformers didn't have the same level of... expectations associated with it back then, only being a decade old at that point. There wasn't the same kind of pressure to recreate "iconic moments" that appears to be WFC's only real trick, Earthrise just being completely abysmal in that regard.

BW also had the befits of starting with a smaller/new cast of characters and we don't need to go into the state of Transformers franchise after G2 but that lead to the risk of BW in the first place.

I honestly forgot that Megatron had taken the Matrix in Earthrise.
I guess it didn't help that, you know, the Matrix was just about never mentioned until Prime lost it.
And then he awoke in Kingdom and didn't even act like he knew it was missing.

And what did the Matrix do in this continuity?
It gave Megatron some visions that somehow Dinobot knew he was suffering from.
It was a flashlight that lead to the Allspark.
But then what? And why didn't it glow when The Allspark turned into whatever character model the producers figured we hadn't seen in a few episodes and attacked Prime?
How did the Allspark read Primes's mind to know that Magnus and Elita-1 were important to Optimus Prime but not know that Optimus Prime was the Matrix bearer?
Why didn't Prime Show the Matrix to The Allspark instead of fighting it?
Why is this show so stupid?

I stopped asking why the hell this show is stupid after the 2nd episode of Earthrise. I could maybe forgive a lot of things about this show but the thing that pisses me off beyond belief is that they killed off Elitas crew and didn't do them any justice, just like a 5 second scene showing their corpses. Literally, the best characters in the show and they barely get 5 seconds of screentime? Fuck you whomever thought that was a good idea. It truly represents the entirety of this show, they don't give a fuck. All they give a fuck about is selling toys as cheap as possible. There I said it. Everyone involved is to blame because they sold out. Period. It truly is hard to fuck up a series this hard. I hope to believe that there truly were good intentions behind this series but because of all the red tape, all parties should have known exactly what this series would end up being, a steaming pile of shit, shitting on all good things it tried to build upon and failed epically. Hasbro needs to get its shit together and now, I am beyond tired of this half ass fucking bullshit they call series ruining the good lore and characters of this franchise. They are pulling the last jedi and they need to course correct their shit now. They need a power player like Kevin Feige or Dave Filoni who actually give a fuck and will give this franchise it's due justice.

I am done being nice because a series a love is becoming a laughing stock and rightfully so. Hasbro is fucking this franchise without the courtesy of buying it a drink first. They treat the legacy VAs like shit, the characters like shit, and the story like shit. Not to mention everything else like shit. It's time we stand up and demand something better. This is a problem with a lot of other products and its damn time we take a stand! NO MORE HALF ASSED SHIT!!! We the consumers demand better quality, one that truly is worth out time and money and are sick of this half assed bullshit. Give what the people truly want, well written characters, story, and competent people behind it.

Stopped watching after the 1st episode. Kingdom only proves that you can't really have a good mix of regular transformers and beast wars.

    They need to be separated.

I waited until everything was released, then binge watched the whole trilogy.

And I find myself wondering what the hell I just watched.

I see comments earlier in the thread, where folks wrote that Hasbro needs to make it better, longer, spend more on animation, on the voice acting, etc. Who else can already sees the poor little corporation wanting to crowdsource animation someday? Because, you know, think of the employees starving children! If fans make those lofty demands, they'll go broke. Us fans need to pay for everything, in advance, and then we may get it in 1-2 years, still with lots of flaws.

To be fair, even if you gave Netflix a lot of money, it'd probably still be terrible. The only decent thing that they have made so far is Castlevania, which should have ended after two seasons.

Castlevania's continuity is huge. They're supposedly covering Richter Belmont's story next (and this is weird because they're skipping the most famous Belmont, Simon) which would inevitably lead to the Symphony of the Night story starring Alucard again.

They have a lot of material to exploit.

I am talking about the current seasons. 3 and 4 were pointless.

Season 3 was admitedly less important in the grand scheme of things but it served as the set-up for Season 4 where a lot of characters had powerful resolutions like Carmilla, Hector and Isaac (particularly the last one since he got the most character development over the last two Seasons). Not to mention they gave an important antagonist from the series a pretty interesting interpretation.

And it'll be used as cliff notes at best considering the sheer disdain the writing team seems to have with Castlevania lore.

Grant being ignored, SotN happening way the fuck too early, Warren Ellis having no idea how Castlevania works (did you know he wanted to name Godbrand Mathias Cronqvist because it was "a cool name he saw on the wiki"?)...

That "interpretation" is a fucking insult to the character's legacy and reputation, but sure.
