After my post above, I flipped them back… and I think I prefer them this way. Heh.

Yeah, I’m not in a rush to transform him, but I likely will next week.

GameStop Galvatron has the bad shoulders. Joining Amazon, BBTS, Walmart, and (from what I've read) CMD.

Did anyone here order online from *anyplace* and get the good shoulders?

Yes. Ordered the day of release from target.com and got the good shoulders version about a month ago.

Well, it was bound to happen after having to approve eight delays. Just kind of sucks because I put in an order for him seconds after he went in stock the very first time. 71791F69-C08D-4155-BF91-2EB78C4BAA92.jpeg

Not sure if this had been reported, but I found a Galvatron today with one shoulder assembly correct, and one not... 20210910_075250.jpg

I found two with the correct shoulders on the shelf at Target in mid June.

I got mine from Pulse today and it had the messed up shoulders. Tried one of the fixes and decided fuck it I’m not going to mess with it. I swiveled the arms around so the pins are out front but the arms are high enough. I’ll just switch it back to transform. Not the most elegant solution but I’m not going to sweat it.

I did that originally, then found that the pins bothered me more than I thought they would. It’s odd because there are other transformers with exposed pins in their correct modes, but a I think it’s the size of the pins at leader scale, maybe. They’re so sparkly! And I also realise I prefer the look of the shoulders lower as it seems to follow the slope of the top of the torso better. So weirdly, the incorrectly fitted look is my preferred look.

Only issue- the top of the shoulders don’t have that nice curve that the correct versions have, but it’s mostly out of sight and not that jarring.

Yeah I get what you are saying. The lighting in my basement is so awful that he is half in shadow practically so the pins are not that visible

Rubbing alcohol. You'll want to use 91% isopropyl alcohol, you can find it in the pharmacy section of any big box store, or at an actual pharmacy. Be warned, though, that there's a slight glossiness of the plastic that's lost when you do this, at least in the areas that you take the battle damage off of.
