Tbf it's a render. We have no idea how well they are articulated. What we do know is it looks like they're going with the more rounded style Takara now so and that's a positive. I just hope there's a wrist pivot.

 

Meh, so over renders. They've proven to be a good future indicator of almost nothing. Show me a 3D printed prototype or GTFO.

 

Looks great, apart from the ridiculous particle cannon. Sort the size, shape and colour of that and I'm in. Also, please use the character model for reference so that details like the red on the shoulder pieces isn't missed (much like Locke's abs were the wrong colour - hopefully they'll fix that on the v2.0). I don't get why it's seemingly so hard for 3P companies to just look at the character models and copy them without feeling the need to change things.

 

You can see all the hinges in the render, and it’s MP36 style instead of Starscream style, so very limited.

 

That's really the biggest thing for me. Sovereign's arms being so obviously arms in alt mode just makes the mode so unsatisfying to me, like he's not completely transformed or something. Having an actual, honest to god cannon mode will feel much more satisfying.

 

What’s unsatisfying for me is that this is xtb

 

They can't even show us a test shot. Give it another couple of months, and in place of renders they'll just paste screen shots from the movie.

 

I absolutely believe you are right on that. Still fun to poke him every July when it has been yet another year when I win the bet (nothing on the line besides bragging about being right).
