    The Robsen auto converter; It said that if I cancel I’d receive points but I still don’t ; why would I just surrender a 150 dollar deposit

    i should’ve took a screenshot of it
    So your telling me they could just take my money without acknowledgment or refund?

    I'm telling you that every store has some rules and conditions you accept before making any purchase. And I personally believe that these rules are quite clear and consumer friendly :)

    So I guess I’m out 150? It said that it’ll reflect Show points before I canceled and it hasn’t; whatever idgaf

    what a shitty business practice , especially to a loyal customer

    I just want points? So no points for me then it’s ok; I’ll just fulfill the rest of my preorders and not fk wit show no mo; bad customer service and bad business practice

    Well, I understand your frustration but it's not bad business practice when you disclose up front that you dont offer a refundable deposit on certain items. I'm pretty sure that on some of these higher priced items, the store you make the deposit with is then securing your item with the manufacturer. If you back out and cancel, they dont have the money to give back to you in either cash or points. It's also a hassle for them to have to go retrieve the money so that's why its nonrefundable. This is why they disclose how they are handling particular items and it's the customers responsibility to understand and acknowledge those guidelines. I know it's not what you care to hear, but its standard business practice.

    Thank you for explaining that clearly & a lot more kindly than I would have Steve. I ended up deleting my replies a couple times since I thought they might have come across fairly short tempered or harsh

    I hear you, I just don’t believe it’s that hard for them to acknowledge my money I spent and convert it into points ; I’m not mad I made a mistake I can live with it. Oh well

    Well, he kinda just explained the nature of a non refundable deposit and with it the reason why it can't/won't be refunded.

    The Robosen Auto Converter product page does say that the deposit is non-refundable. I think that this has to do with the fact that if you bought this self transforming Optimus Prime via Haslab, you couldn't get your money back either. TFSource, BBTS and other retailers do the same thing when it comes to expensive items, to prevent people from cancelling their orders so that the retailers aren't stuck with high end statues and other collectables that are hard to sell due to the price.

    So yes, they can take your money, provided that they stated clearly this would happen on the product page, which they did. You agreed to the terms when you paid that deposit. I know it sucks, but you need to read before buying. :( 

    Perhaps you can send them a mail asking if there is perhaps something they can do? Perhaps meet each other halfway?

    On a side note, I do think it is a bad practice to tell your customers you offer a refund, but you are actually given store credit instead of the original payment method you used. I don't recall seeing that stated anywhere unless you really dig deep into their terms and conditions.

    But correct me if I'm wrong, I do believe that you can potentially get a refund to the original payment method if you contact them directly. Again, no idea how true that is.

    I can also confirm. On one circumstance where I needed to do a refund, they asked at the end how I wanted it back (points or original payment method). So I'm sure if you request it, they'll be able to.

    I should rephrase--they could possibly be able to. I know your circumstance is particularly different because that figure required a deposit from THEM(Show.Z) to Robosen. I was more talking in general, when they state they offer points back as refund, that if you ask you can get back by how you paid.

    Also, I recommend just be patient within the next few days. They do take off on the weekend and messages are not instantly replied to because they have a lot going on, but they will. I've seen a few people get real upset because they haven't received an immediate answer and it was partly due to the weekend. You can also PM @ShowZStore and politely explain the situation and he can look into your order and give you the answers you're looking for.
