This piece keeps falling off. Is there any reason I shouldn't just glue it on? Would I be damaging or limiting the figure in some way I can't foresee?

 

I see no reason you can't glue it.

 

When I got my replacement wing it didn’t come with that part so I had to take it off the old one. That’s the only reason I can think of that you might not want to glue it.

If your wing isn’t broken then it’s fine to glue it. But sometimes life happens.

 

Quietus and Apache came in. Personally, it's not so much the paint and diecast metal that sets this figure apart even though those are definitely nice at this price point, it's the proportions and the face sculpt. Now to wait for Sovereign.

 

Question on the original Quietus. I remember in this thread the second batch of Quietus had the back of the knees fixed so they didn't scratch the chest during transformation. Is that correct?

I do remember someone getting a replacement chest and that had some coating on it to prevent scratching?

If any of the above is correct, is it possible to tell from the box which version might be which? 1st batch from 2nd batch?

 

The first image is FT-29 (original release with white face/hands), circled in blue is the knee that would scratch the chest plate

The second image is FT-29T (newer release with pink face/hands), circled in yellow is the newer modified knee that doesn't scratch the chest plate

As far as chest coating goes, I've owned both and apart from the knees and the white/pink parts they seemed identical

 

Thanks for this. Just to clarify, just wanting know if there's a way to tell batch 1 from batch 2 of FT-29. Not the T.

 

Sorry but as far as I'm aware re the original FT-29, there was no batch 2 with "fixed" knees (but I could be mistaken)

 

AFAIK the later release had a some coat on the chest that helped out. The chests that FT sent out also had this, if you look at them in strong light you will see that they reflect light differently.

(EDIT: And the top portion of the knees was slightly remolded for the T version, like in your pics)

how easy do you reckon it would be to get a new chest from fanstoys for ft29t? is their customer service still good? such a shame dalianjj not being active anymore he was awesome at sorting parts

 

I just got my replacement in the mail yesterday. I requested it from Fanstoys support about a month ago. Unfortunately, they sent me a pre-scratched chest. Lol
