Even with that the review was really positive. Hopefully they have decent customer service in situations like this. Either way, I’m glad I got a preorder yesterday now.

Shit happens. Sometimes things fail. Sometimes people hamfist things. Sometimes wires work themselves loose. Has any electronics company EVER made something that never had a copy that developed an issue? Especially a preview copy.

How exactly are they supposed to inspect for a motor that was working fine then failed for god only knows what reason? Fortune tellers?

The fact that a preview copy failed makes it even worse. That's supposed to be your best one.

 

With that mindset, no one should buy anything ever.

This company has been making robots that use this exact tech for years. Again, shit happens. If something breaks, there is no reason to think they won't offer support.

I skipped the pre-order window earlier this year (and regretted it). I figured they would produce more when Hasbro put the "Email me if more stock becomes available". So I was excited when I found they would open up orders again. I got on the site as soon as it went live last Friday, however, they deleted the old link and put up a new one. I saw a November ship date when I initially went to the added it to cart, by the time I got through checkout my date slipped to December. I'm guessing the first (whatever number) of people may have got the cancellations from the earlier wave?

 

Could be..just waiting for the first shipment to go out..cant wait to see some youtube posts of people that got hasbro orders

Ordered mine on 4/9..not shipping now until 10/31..no shipping number..who knows when they come out..some day over the rainbow optimus will ship...

As one of the few UK-based buyers who put in an order with Robosenstore.com when they briefly failed to make the listing US-exclusive, I was surprised not to have had my order cancelled yet. When I contacted them a few months ago, they admitted that it was a glitch on their end that allowed me to place the order in the first place and I fully expected that this would ultimately result in a 'sorry, here's your money back', particularly when Hasbro Pulse's second wave of pre-orders went up and you couldn't even access the page in the UK (VPNs notwithstanding). I had pretty much resigned myself to the idea that it was only a matter of time before Robosen formally cancelled it, but, since I'd heard nothing and we were getting close to October, I contacted them again, just to be sure. They told me that they're looking into using a new UK partner to fulfill their UK orders and will reach out with this option soon. So, if you're like me and you live in the UK and haven't yet cancelled your preorder, it looks like you might be in luck. Of course, it might all fall to pieces, but its nice to know they're actually trying to fulfill the orders, when it would be so much easier for them to just cancel them and offer them up to US buyers.
