I still can't tell if that main color is black like the Destroyer- or just a *really dark* muted blue....

If you are in Singapore, you may luck up with Carousel... I've seen great deals on there in the past, it just isn't available to overseas buyers. If not, some people bought multiples of it and may decide to reduce when Shadow version comes out...
Yup I am in Singapore - and watching the local marketplace like an eagle I ordered DA 79 but I heard it doesn’t come with the trailer (which is why it’s cheaper) - would love the original OP colour tho!
Looks like a dark blue to me. Wouldn't make much sense to do another black one when destroyer already exists.
So instead they did another blue one, because it also already exists. On a more serious note it is weird that they opted for a color scheme that doesn't really match anything else. A black one would have made sense, since it's cores would have matched the shadow triverse and convoy, a brighter blue would have made sense as it would match the D-calibur triverse and the original battle convoy, Hell even a red one would have fit with chaser and sunburst (on top of being a completely new color for this mold) but this doesn't really match anything while also being slightly redundant colorwise to the first big powered and destroyer. It's just an odd choice. Granted, I still really like it, I just don't get why.
Well it's a significantly darker shade of blue compared to both the ims and the original gv. It's a bit of odd duck right now but I'm hopeful that we'll get a couple of releases in the future with a similar colour scheme. Personally I would've loved a white gv.
You’re not gonna find much on Carousell SG except some marked up diabattles V2 and pre-orders. Carousell HK is another story altogether for past releases
Man I was just looking at the Takara release dates and I've realized that BBTS is 4 months behind on Diaclone preorders.
TF Source has been running about the same time for each Diaclone release. I'm almost certain it's their distributors causing the delays for imports. Any time you have to use a third-party to get stock, you are adding even more time for them to receive it and reship it. It's not just Diaclone, both are even further behind on JoyToy figures and sets. They were always at least 2 months later, and with current delay at least 2 more, so 4 is about average. They could go 5... It's the trade off to get lower prices (if you preorder) and cheap/free shipping.
Going off the animation he looks like he's predominantly in a dark slate blue. I also admit my eyes aren't the greatest sooooooo.....
Don’t worry, they’ll probably end up releasing all of the Trivers molds in a GV-Caliber color scheme. And they’ll look fantastic. And I’ll feel compelled to buy all of them…
Yeah, it's definitely dark blue. I think this will probably work nicely with a lot of other sets even considering I don't have anything else in this color. Sure, it doesn't have the candy-red chest hangar, but the surface design on the new one looks more cohesive and less like markings to just look complicated. The metallic color of that piece seems to match the paint used on the powered suit from DA-60, which I love. It's also taller and generally the same design otherwise. Dark blue rather than black. I'm not all worried about my Diaclone matching (yet) and to top it all off it's way cheaper than buying a Destroyer used so... I'm all in! I think this is the release I'm most excited for.
You know I'm a big fan of the Powered Suits and the V-Movers haven't been as big an appeal to me, though I do like them. But, that V-Mover 04 in yellow is hitting all the right buttons for me...
The color tinted windows always send me over the edge on all Diaclone stuff! I forgot to mention that I like the yellow tint on DA-80.
MAIL CALL! Sorry for the all caps, but I'm thrilled! I got a delivery today, earlier than I expected and I'm really happy. This box had two amazing items: The last (not counting those on a preorder somewhere) item to complete my Diaclone Reboot collection, DA-43. After a month of trying to get my money back from a fraudulent German site for one of these, (which I finally did after two appeals to PayPal, denial of claim by my bank, and having to get USPS involved in the second appeal as mail fraud), I was able to get one elsewhere...(Special shout-out to my good friend @puma and his locator service, listed on his for sale thread. He's an awesome guy and top-notch seller! I've bought a lot of Diaclone through him. He found me a new DA-43, when used ones are next to impossible to find. I did have to pay market price, shipping grom Japan, and pay for his time and work, but this set was impossible to get right now, and that last hole was about driving me nuts... I also really wanted a set of those red wings. Thank you, @puma. I can't recommend him highly enough if you're desperate to find an item or don't have a ton of time to hunt, set up accounts with proxies, etc.) I'll be breaking into this set this weekend! My first with box Japanese vintage Diaclone, Machine Dragon! (Also, from his sale thread... I've bought a lot of Diaclone through him. Wait, I already said that... lol) I'll get into that more on the Vintage thread, next month. (Saving getting into him for my birthday, next month.)
