Probably would take me two weeks to pull Unicron apart and keep track of all the pieces.

 

Not gonna lie, I considered writing Masterpiece Hound, but then I remembered all the QC trouble that toy suffered and I didn't feel confident in suggesting I built one of those myself - even in an imaginary scenario.

Both of my faceplates have cracks forming in the tabs, sent a message to Ebgames and they said they'd contact Hasbro. How many people got an entire Unicron lol

 

I'm having the same issue with one of my faceplates.
Do you think Hasbro might offer any replacement parts? I doubt it. Especially in my case.
I've had my copy since the end of March.

 

As @lilcarus said upthread, Hasbro does offer replacement parts, for some things at least. On his advice, I called Hasbro about an issue with my faceplate in late June/early July (for a Unicron I received in late March/early April), and after a few pleasant exchanges, I had a new faceplate in my hands by the end of July.  

Give it a shot!

Ugh. where should I begin. First anyone responding in support or against this should know I'm not going to read it. With that said I'm fucking pissed has Haslab and Hasbro. If you don't care that's fine, but if this rant convinces just one person not to participate in the next crowd funding project it's all worth it! By the way IDGAF if this gets me banned. Easy to circumvent, but don't care.

I ordered 3. Two for myself and one for resale (IDGAF if labeled a scalper). Even though I told my ALL my TF collector friends I would not any e my very close friend of 15 years asked me if he could get one (at cost) 10 months after the campaign ended. If were anyone else I probably would have said "no", but this friend of my has gone above and beyond on my behalf more times than I could count and helped me out during COVID so I allowed him to reimburse me (which included a Haslab Sentinel as partial payment). Fast Forward to last April. I had to postpone my move to another state because Haslab stated they were going to to ship Unicron in March. By the time they told me they were shipping mine in May it was too late to change the mailing address. That was a hassle in itself. I called several times to complain. During one of those calls it slopped out that there were no more replacements, thus by the time I received mine replace was no longer an option. I checked my two pieces on May 4th in a hotel (I even taped it), but my friend did not get around to transforming his until a few days ago and sure enough his broke on the backpack. Initially I thought he may have been too rough, but after examining his photos it did not break at the screws like one reported about on Youbute. His broke under the screws which is evidence that the plastic was defective. Regardless the piss poor instructions did not help. Of course I called and subsequently emailed Hasbro, but their answer was a foregone conclusion since the Pulse told me that there were no more replacements in April. Needless to say I'm fucking pissed.

Furthermore, this is less than ethical behavior by Hssbro overall especially for a crowd funding project. I've listened and read the arguments for and against, but having done crowdfunding myself I agree with the complaints. I especially agree with complaints in regard to the maw and unpainted teeth. I have nothing personal against Uniicron.com, but their softball interview with the HasbLo dude (I can't recall his name) was awful. His reason for changing the maw color might be true, but I have my doubts. Those of us how know something about the manufacturing of injection mold figures know why certain plastic colors are not used on a figure. X amount of the parts have to be one of a few colors because making one or two parts in an additional color might be cost prohibitive. This is why Masterpiece Rodiimus Prime's spoiler is painted yellow in stead of molded yellow. Of course a knock off company released one with a real yellow spoiler. I believe same is true for the KO MP 44. I suspect changing the color of the maw parts was a cost cutting decision because it maybe have been more expensive to have them molded in orange. I don't it's a tolerance issue because other parts of the maw are ORANGE. Painting those parts wasn't an option either because the movement would have scraped the paint over time. If the Hasblo team would been up front in their decision maybe some of use would not be so angry. However, they didn't update us which lead me to believe they are either ignorant or incompetent. There definitely is NO excuse for not painting Unicron's teeth. That was obviously a cost cutting measure. They didn't even bother to mention it in that awful interview!

I love Haslab Unicron. One of the best figures in my entire collection. No complaints from me

 

I just have nothing but love for mine. It throws me that some feel so bamboozeled. Fiance thought it was awesome enough to get herself a Haslab Sentinel. With that said, sure i can see not liking the choice, I get that.. it's just the anger they bring with it. Like whao..

 

Same here. But I was in love with it when they revealed it. I've never had any complaints since SDCC 2019.
He's my favorite toy I own. best $600 I've ever spent in my life.
