I hope that is the case, as these are hard to find in Canada when they are Walgreens or Target at time...someone above mentioned it might be another Target exclusive.

 

I’d love to have all of the possible Diaclone repaints, but I’d be content with just a yellow Trailbreaker and red Hoist 2-pack.

 

The door wings are just awfully engineered. In addition to the turtle neck, the headsculpt is pretty bad, and the legs are notoriously unstable and shaky (they are a bit better if you mistransform the feet but still... posability is just not good).

Couple that with the paint issues which were common especially on Prowl as well as the highly dubious Hasbro color scheme for Smokescreen and, well... not great.

I have Henkei Prowl and Smokescreen (paid through the nose for him) and U2 Bluestreak, and I'll probably keep them for the alt modes. But I don't love them. Same with the U2 Lambos.

 

Hasbro initially intended to release the 1984 Transformers toy in blue. The package art, the photos on the packaging, the photos in the instructions, the photos in the 1984 pack-in catalog, even an early color guide for the animation model, all used the blue color scheme with the silver hood.

Bob Budiansky saw photos of the toy and decided to name it "Bluestreak".

Then he wrote a personality for the character and made it a double pun - he's blue and talks like a blue streak!

Then Hasbro decided to change the toy's colors at the last moment, and the pun got lost.

Always wanted a Diaclone Blue Bluestreak or equivalent. This'll do just fine if I can get it.

That's what keeping me from getting these repaints. If only they had a slight variation in headsculpt like Prowl/Bluestreak, Ironhide/Ratchet, Tracks/Roadrage, Runamuck/Runabout I would get them...

I was going to say that (the blue one) MP-18B "Bluestreak" is a different character from (the G1 cartoon guy) "Streak" MP-18 in the Japanese MP bios but then Spin-Out's bio had to come along and reveal that "Bluestreak" is just "Streak" with a program uploaded into him.
I can't find anything about (bright all-silver colors) Silverstreak MP-18S's bio though...

Eh, Fracture is more based on GoBot's Crasher, so I don't know if I'd count her as much. I'm still hoping for Dino for Red Mirage, maybe Tow-Line for yellow Trailbreaker, and Gigaton for Black Ironhide? Trailbreaker and Ironhide aren't based on much, but it's something.

 

I'm just talking about repaints, in general, that I'd like to see.

 

Not a fan of Dino as a name, because it either reminds me of the Flintstones or of Dino Ferrari.

 

No, Fracture was a predominantly black repaint of Mirage based off the Gobot Crasher. There has yet to be any named red version of Mirage.
