And how is revelations figures compare with classic and origin lines? Which has the most articulation?
Yeah, I agree with most of your complaints but the figures are $20 compared to Marvel Legends which are $30…fans in Asia are being ripped but European fans have it worse?
If that's what I think it is then I have to say really nice use of a Transformers (or Marvel Legends?) blast effect!
I got Skelegod, opened it...it looks good but the figure isn’t great. It’s even gummier than the Modular Iron Man figure I recently opened. Not a huge deal but would be nice if sturdier plastic that is more fun to play with was used.
Got my Moss Man in from Amazon yesterday and finally had a chance to fiddle with him. He's a pretty fun figure. I appreciate that he's an entirely completely unique sculpt from what I can tell, but that effect hand they included is a real pain in the ass to get him to use and keep him balanced while attached. Lots of hand options with him... honestly since a couple of the hands basically look very very similar I think they should have given him another effect instead of that set of hands. Also, giving him grasping hands is kind of pointless since he doesn't include any weapons. Poseability is good though I think he actually does get hindered by his sculpt in some places compared to He-Man and Skeletor who don't have that problem on my copies... also he doesn't seem to have ankle rockers which makes him even harder to pose while using the giant effect hand he comes with. Not to mention those feet in general. Overall he's a great-looking figure that's functionally only a decent figure due to some design flaws with the sculpt. I'm honestly surprised he's an entirely unique sculpt given I can't figure where some of those parts will see reuse in the future, but maybe we'll get an Evil-Seed retool or something? Or they'll use a good deal of the parts for a 200X Moss Man? Anyways, good figure, but is a little funky to pose and that effect piece is hard to work with due to its size and weight. Moss Man could have used a little bit longer in the designer oven Mattel. Current Ranking of Masterverse figures I own: 1. Battle Cat 2. (Tied) He-Man and Skeletor 3. Moss Man Still waiting on Amazon to ship my Evil-Lyn... should be soon since they charged me three or four days ago and the site says she's due to arrive by the 14th. Looking forward to wave 2 except for Teela.
Received Skelegod today and I love the over the top character design. The color scheme is actually subdued for the most part. It's the radioactive green that transforms the toy and takes it to the next level. I'm not a fan of the soft plastic formulation used for the limbs and head. My Skelegod had a frozen right arm (bicep swivel and shoulder hinge) that was worsened by the overly soft plastic. I had to free up the joints with hot water. The neck joint is extremely limited to the point of near uselessness. However, it is easily remedied if one isn't opposed to removing plastic from the front and back of the neck joint in order to grant further range to the joint.
I have no complaints. I'm impressed with how well this new figure pairs with the 200X line. This is what the 200X line could've been instead of the limited pose statues posing as action figures we did get lol. I love the Four Horsemen sculpts of the older figures, but that extremely limited articulation coupled with the awkward poses some of them were stuck in (WTF Prince Adam?!) didn't stop me from collecting as many as I could in that time, but in comparison these new figures are light years ahead as far as "action figures" go. Just my two cents on the subject.
Where is orko for this line? I will be getting teela and beastman but I need orko and roboto to round out that group I think.
Soon I hope. Really loved Orko in this. His tiny jacked little arms were adorable. Just need to make sure my son doesn't try to steal him.
