TCP is my go-to, but the length of time it takes to get a missing part addressed is absolutely frustrating. Thankfully, most of my experiences are without issue, but I always dread it when I have to seek them out for a missing part.

They were perfect with me in my Open and Play big cannon when the cannon broke on the peg, let me "destroy" the thing to get a refund, and was super fast and awesome to, and the funniest phone call I have ever had

I would think canceling for store credit hurts you less. If something hits my POL and I plan to cancel, I cancel after 8 days to get store credit. I will spend the money at BBTS anyway so it doesn't matter if it goes to my card or store credit.

I don't blame BBTS for their algorithm. They want to sell to people who are less likely to cancel.

I think they should add a "reason" option to the cancelation screen. Amazon does it, so if BBTS would allow for customers to explain the reason, be it "found cheaper elsewhere", "wouldn't arrive on time" or whatever, at least they'd understand the reason people cancel pre-orders.

I currently have 53 pre-orders with them into 2022, with quite a few still from 2020. I haven't had any issues with them as far as CS goes, and have been quite happy with their services, but their delays are finally wearing on me.

Only saying this because if all the items now saying August actually hit this month, I'm looking at about a grand to shell out in one month that should have been spread out across many months.
They are making it severely difficult to budget.

Got a new preorder notification for some XTB items. I've only preordered Runamuck/Runabout and Punch/Counterpunch, so I guess they put you on lists by preorders too and not just completed orders.

I spoke with them about this very issue, and ultimately, that's on you and I to budget. What they suggested is using a prepaid card or whatever, so you can effectively pre-pay for your orders without them actually offering that option (which would just mean hassles for them, as they are holding customer money in escrow for items that may never arrive; thus they have to maintain extra liquid capital on hand in case all of their pre-paid orders had to be canceled and refunded for some reason). Apparently you can just buy a gift card that functions like a debit card and the balance can be charged, so if it helps you to budget you can sock the money away like that.

I don't do that. Each time one of my pre-orders actually arrives I'm like "OHFUCKOHFUCKOHFUCK" and end up emailing them for an extension to whenever I'm going to have disposable income. They are pretty great about this, too. My Onslaught had to wait something like 10 days before I could buy him.

FWIW, this is the same reason most companies won't let you bank up too much vacation time. They have to have liquid on hand to cash out all employees' stored vacation time if the company were to shut down or individual employees were to quit. I'm not sure if that's a federal law or just California or just a wise move my old employer made to avoid the potential liability.

Meh, at least the discussion is relevant and productive\constructive. These are big concerns for some members.

Yeah... I pre-ordered Gigawatt and now I get emailed about every piece of Back to the Future kitsch. :X

    You're absolutely right.

I do take the risk and much prefer the risk of waiting 6 months for a replacement piece to a figure (that 8 out of 10 times I can fix myself) than shady algorithms and... oh yeah... NOT GETTING THE TOYS.

I will never cancel a preorder again ever… if Rodimus and Wreck-Gar ship this week.
I’d settle for just Rodimus… please.

I hope my G2 Sandstorm and Rainmakers come soon. I preordered them and it says they’re expected to get them in sometime this month.

Yep, it's pretty amusing. BBTS is just waiting for Hasbro to fulfil the order they placed, just like we are. It would be like your son coming to you and saying 'why don't you have Rodimus yet? Some of the other users on TFTW2005 have him! Why are you taking so long to get him?"

After skimming back a few pages I now see what's going on. That honestly sucks on their part that they're limited by partial shipments.

A good time to practice the zen of patience. I am really being tested here because Rodimus is sitting on the shelf 5 minutes away from me. :p

    Look at this thing, lol:

    Transformers Unicron Polystone Pen Holder

I think he might make a good soda can cozy! Some fan is going to make unintended use of this toy, why not a drink holder?

Then there's these. I used to collect the Overwatch ones...

Transformers Grimlock & Ironhide Retro Pin Set

Transformers Shockwave & Starscream Retro Pin Set

Mouse pads, too. Because why not!

    Transformers Soundwave Retro Mouse Pad

    Transformers Bumblebee Retro Mouse Pad

I'm usually patient when it comes to this stuff haha. I blame my impatience on the fact that i'm taking a vacation next week and want new toys to play with. :lol  My real test will be waiting until June of 2022 for the Doom Slayer figma I have preordered!

Okay that pen holder is really tempting, especially since you can jab it into his eyes. The pins look really good too!

And then you'll have a situation like with eBay where dummies pick the option that punishes them less. For anybody that hasn't played that game before, "buyer's remorse" and "item not as described" have different return rules. While I agree that sellers should pay when they send a wrong/bad item, the situation turned every buyer's remorse return into a penalty for sellers.

    More NewAge.

NA H-25 Herbie 2.0 & H-26 Vanishing Point Limited Edition Figure Set (Reissue)

It's not my thing. Those are 2" tall in robot mode, for 40 bucks each. But it's a niche, I'm sure people collect them for a reason.

Yeah, IDK, call me jaded. People with integrity seem to be the rare exception rather than the rule to which there are exceptions. I don't envy anyone who does business with the general public today. People think they can destroy things and then lie and get their money back and if you push back against them they spread lies and rumors about you and cause you more damage than what you'd suffer giving them free shit. Or throw various cards at you. Unfortunately, based on what some of you guys tell me, it seems some retailers are doing similar things now, trying to foist unsellable shit on people and then run out the clock on their ability to get help or a refund. And in the middle of it is Paypal, cheerfully reminding everyone that merchant's fees are non-refundable in any circumstance.
