Nah, they really don't need to do anything but fill those gaps. I would be nice if they could move from the top of the leg to the back of the leg (as with the kit shown here) without partsforming (not as with the kit shown here), but that's as complicated as they need to get.

Interesting, but not a fan of the crosshatch pattern. A flame effect could give the impression of the sword being longer.

I don't know of any Kingdom Rodimus upgrade kits by any of the major groups yet. There's plenty of accessories for Hot Rod.

The only thing I would like is hand gap fillers. Granted, I could make those on my own. He's otherwise an outstanding figure as he is.

I take that back. The black / dark smoke flame effects look terrible. They're clearly flame and not smoke shaped. I really think it's the same clear blue plastic but for some bizarre reason was painted over in black / dark smoke. Removing the paint to check would be a nightmare due to all the grooves. Also using IPA is not advised as clear plastic has been shown to crumble / crack by multiple others here since the start of Siege. Rodimus is the 1st instance of having hard plastic effects.

I made my own because they look so bad. However, I think others would like replacement flame effects. The ones that came with Cyberverse Deluxe Hot Rod (the only good thing about that terrible figure) and SS86 Hot Rod look great in comparison.

 

Someone seriously needs to make a blue eye kit to replace the yellow, it will look so much better with the color breakup on the head

 

I did my own custom like that for Omega Supreme. If they're going to go through the hassle of making a new lightpiping piece / lens, might as well offer a blue option.

Unless shining light through a very thin layer at point blank range, shining a blue light through clear yellow plastic will look...yellow. You might get an interesting blue halo around it but the eye will light up like there's a white light behind it.

 

Have any of the guys that make gap fillers made some for Haslab Unicrons maw teeth? It’s the one thing I really want to fill in on him.

Yeah for each tooth. I got a maw cover from Cybertron Surgery but I won’t buy from them again. I like parts of the toy hax labels but they’ve gone downhill in the last few years and I don’t know that I really want to buy labels for only part of him.

 

Wait, what part has gone downhill? I only started getting them last year, and it seems like every set I get, there is at least one or two labels that just, isn't cut all the way, so the adhesive separates from the label, and it's completely wrecked. I've gotten like five or so sets from them lately that all had the same problem. It's a shame, because the labels I'm actually able to use are really good.

 

Are there good alternatives from the Go Better filler sets for both T-Wrecks and Nemesis Primal? I like their work but I don't want to pay again for the lazy or lacking stuff (Meaning quick repaint of Megatron's gun and Primal's jetpack).

 

Did you manage to actually get a maw from Cybertron Surgery? I order one months ago, and they basically went dark on me.

 

I did. It wasn’t the color matched I ordered and the quality isn’t there. I’d ordered a squid from the movie and a stasis pod and they were…fine.

I used to order from them regularly but the last few years I’ve noticed labels being excessive in design (labels that just aren’t not needed) and just ho hum quality.

 

That's kind of how I've been feeling lately too, they just have to much stuff, so the price is higher than it probably needs to be. My exception is the racing stuff, I'll pay extra for more stuff in those, but everything else, I'm a bit more reluctant. I'd love their Netflix Prime set, but I just don't want to pay for the battle master labels, which are like two of the three decal sheets included. One of the best sets I've gotten was for Netflix Bee, it was like 5 bucks, did cell shaded windows, added a few details, had some neat stuff like the brake rotors, and that was it. It was cheap, simple, and didn't overstay it's welcome.

 

Has anyone ever had to replace something from kaokao on ebay? I ordered the Earthrise Gap Fillers for Ironhide but got the Siege ones in the mail today

Also I ordered the replacement feet with the swivels feature. Very happy with the result.

That's one thing. The other things are that their sets have gotten too over-designed, like they're trying to cover every flat surface on the figure (yet somehow still missing details I actually wanted). Then the icing on the cake is their prices. Half the newer sets cost as much as the figure I'm sticking them on.

 

They need more competition.

No, they have to come off. The alt mode is so compact that there's nowhere to store them.

Yes! Preferably based in the States. I ordered their repro stickers for G1 Sideswipe, since I picked up a sealed box copy of the old TRU reissue and the reissue doesn't have the Lambo badge. They shipped two weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. I've got stuff from China faster.
