If Rodders finalised Prime Alt mode had kept more to those "Future Truck" proportions with the huge trailer truck wheels on a sleeker space cab, I think I could've dealt with that.
Maybe with his hot rod exhausts as smokestacks for the cab part, and a few more tweaks here and there.

Added Reese, Lady Deathstrike and Arcade to the villains shelf and slightly tweaked the main X-Men lineup following a shelf dusting session.

Storm has got blu tack on her feet because I'm fed up of the gummy legs causing the figure to fall over and take several others with it.

Yeah. I mean, Ironhide is also supposed to be old but he's not got a saggy old man face. (Although in Shockwave's case, I'm not sure how that face could get wrinkles.)

To be honest, I never liked the idea that Transformers live for millions of years in the first place. Thousands, sure. But millions is just hyperbole and doesn’t add anything of value to the concept.

 

Have you seen DX9 Carry? That thing is a wonderful Rodimus, it has zero Hot Rod about it and screams Studio Ox Rodimus Prime all without ever needing or wanting a trailer. And its an amazingly fun and intuitive transformation for MP scale with a minimal backpack considering the trailer folds up in there.

I've had a G1 Rodimus since 1989 (last day of Primary school, a kid gave me his Roddy to play with my Countdown for an hour) and I've never done anything with the trailer. Heck, the toy is basically an Oscar, I've had shampoo bottles with more points of articulation.

All that said, I do want Kingdom Rodimus trailer and all, just not for £90.

 

One of those Siege Lambo spoiler upgrade kits would nice with this, a nice yellow one - anyone have a spare one going cheap?

Dinobot Island Toys have the Matrix Workshop spoilers for the Siege Lambo mold for a tenner each. I got one for Sideswipe but mine snapped coming out of the packet  

 

I thought I recognised that vehicle for a moment, and realised I had it confused with something else that would also do for Rodimus, and at the very least also needs to be a TF of some sort - the Michelin PLR/Citroen Centipede

 

Good grief the drugs these designers had to be on back then. That’s awesome.

 

Adding to that point, I'm sure someone (Chris McFeely?) has done some investigation and it looks like the original belief that Hot Rod and Rodimus have different robot mode character models is probably false and its actually the exact same design just with a different head and colour scheme. So really the only differences between the two are a different gun, some wrinkles and a trailer.

 

Mine uses the dotm leader's shield. It works really well for him.

I'm also still stuck on that idea of TFTM but with Bumblebee becoming Prime as a coming of age story (I seriously may try writing this as fan fiction) and imagining his Prime mode as a VW Camper Van still tickles me

Imagine an AU with the usual Nemesis and Ark thing happens but in the time they were asleep the war ended and by the time they actually get back to Cybertron it has changed drastically with Maximals and Predacons running around?
Though I gather in a way that's what they did with the G2 Comic with Jihaxious's Cybertronian faction?
