My roof fix didnt work. Grrrrr. Conservatory roofers tell me to get a proper roofer and proper roofers tell me to get a conservatory roofer. Grrrrr. This is a day of Ggrrrrrrrrr.

Likely stating the obvious here but is it possible to find a larger outfit in your area that does both proper roofing and conservatory roofing? If you haven't already, maybe ask the various roofers who've tried to pass the buck if they know of anyone like that?

They were both fairly large companies I went for, there aren't any small time local lads in my area that I can find.

It may be worth getting in touch with your house insurers regarding potential trusted contractors, even if you're not going thru insurance to fund it?

Minicons, in the words of Aaron Archer, are "feature-based micromasters". If the aim is to replicate trash like Universe 2.0 Hotshot, then I could definitely see UT not appearing at all in Legacy.
The last true minicon-based toy was Cybertron Quickmix. The question is, how can that level of interaction be achieved with 2021 budgets, without making everything Commander Class.

I note you mentioned your conservatory is plastered inside. Is it a solid (light weight insulated warmer roof) tiled roof or perspex/glass.

If solid roof then tiles need removing back to osb and replacing wet section/ refelting/flashing work.

If perspex roof then if the flashing a general builder prob better.

If seals then no amount of external silicon sealant will help etc as the roof plate seals and drainage channel arrangements are unique to each brand.

You will need a general builder as prob need to remove the internal ceiling for full access.

Conservatories do reach an end of life stage though and surprisingly quickly where the seals degrade etc. Depends when built.

Just a heads up - even if you’re just making an enquiry, the moment you ring your home insurance to ask something like that your premium will go up. I did something similar a few years back and it happened to me - so if you’ve got a good no claims built up, might be worth persevering yourself :thumb

rock bubbles was a cool thing I wasn’t expecting

Still annoys me that we get these but not the Walmart G1 figures here in the U.K.

I'm not sure that's what Rung intended :lol

I was quite impressed with Tricranius' packaging. First selects I've got with a Kingdom style cardboard tray, I think the only non toy plastic was the ties. The splooshes came double wrapped in paper inside a cardboard box - like the accessories in the Centurion pack - and which I think the paper may have been recycled paper too, it had that sort of look and feel to it.
I kind of wonder if the bonus inside art was partly paid for by the money they saved. Though damn if Selects boxes are going to start having unique art in them that will make it harder for me to recycle the dupes which I'm not using for storage :lol

I feel like what really let Micromasters down in WFC was the lack of experimentation and really going wild with it. Most of them were cars of some sort and quite a few were basically the same molds as I recall? The only wilder ones were the Cassettes, the Jets and the Space Shuttles. The Jets are a great example where they had probably the most coherent weapon mode for use by bigger figs.
I've said it before but I do wonder if Micromasters might have been served better as being their own line or subline of Generations so they got a bigger piece of the design pie than just being a small part of another line. Not least of which being the bizarre scale dissonance with, well, anything.

Oh man that takes me right back to spending ages looking at the loads of BW stuff in Gamleys (my then local toy shop, long since closed down)

Now that the discourse on his shoulder's have died down can I just say that Kingdom Galvatron is definitely one of the range's highlights? Weeks after getting him I'm still farting on with him. Him and SS86 Grimlock are the first G1 leaders for a while that have you know, FELT like Leaders. Perhaps not total in size but it build quality and materials at the very least.

Grimlock was a nice return to that size actually, just wish he came with his bloody sword instead of Wheelie. Wheelie could have been a core class and been done justice. Can’t wait to get my hands on Slag.

I do prefer 3rd parties that do gimmicks or other things that make the figures feel like (quite expensive) toys. I'm not gonna use God Armor's firing missle launcher but I love that he has it. Their main problem is that they're rubbish at face sculpts, but that isn't a problem for Optimus Prime figures.

(And yeah, MMC's stuff has so much character. The crazy posability of their Chaos Theory Prime. How good all their Combaticons look. Definitely my favourite 3P companies at the moment. Waiting for Naval Commander to show up and I'm very excited.)

Looks like NewAge are really going to town with the paint on their legends scale Prime. That looks like the same sheen as MP-44.
