After the disappointment of MST Magnus I'm considering to step back to MFT 2.0, maybe the NA, but the price of NA could be prohibitive.

It seems that the back is white, no blue / red shell?.

So some try-hard mod went and closed my SG Jetfire thread because "we want to keep the website tidy" even though there are like a hundred threads for figure repaints.

Anyway. Probably about to get myself banned. Oh well.

NA H27 David, an 11cm tall warrior with high quality and appearance. As always, transparent and alloy part makes a good figure, so does the piano paint. But it’s never just about the look. To be a super action figure, joint is also important. You think stoop joint is necessary? We got two stoop joints now. You love the ankle joint? How about separate toe and heel. In vehicle mode you can open the door and view its cab. The design of H27 is different from H27w. More than 30% of the parts is new designed. Do not call us lazy cause we’ve been busy. Painting plan for the vehicle mode is work in progress. If you got genius ideas, please let us know.

That is the fugliest chest I've ever seen on a Prime. It sticks out as far forward as the back-pack sticks out the rear. It looks like it's wearing strap-on tits. And that massive nappy... What's so hard about turning those hideous hip-skirts into a part of the leg itself? MST gets that wrong too, just not so flagrantly.

This neatly encapsulates why I don't like NA's designs.

Isn't everything you just complained about just a fault of the G1 toon design? Not NA? Same as MP-44.

I mean, I like the look of MP-10 / ER voyager style approach better as I'm not fond of the cartoon waist and use of white colour myself and I like the wheels exposed on the legs, but isn't that just NA being accurate to the toon source?

No. You show me an episode that shows Prime with an extra front visibly strapped to his front. This torso design might look okay from dead on, but move the slightest amount to the side or above, and suddenly it is complete rubbish.

I don't care about masterpiece in the slightest, but having just now looked up MP-44 I don't see anything even remotely as ugly as that chest on it, neither in terms of construction and gappiness or simply in how far it protrudes. MP-44's nappy sucks, though.

Serious. I knew the chest was on the opposite side of the truck bumper. I had no idea the REAL truck windows were directly behind the fake ones in bot mode. And JJJ's right--slight angle change and it just looks like a jumbled mess.

At that point, you might has well have designed it where the bumper--with NO faux windows on it--could stuff behind the actual truck windows in robot mode, and let that fill out the body. All that work to fake the chest (which I hate that they did anyway) and it makes it look really bad.

The big ass hinges on the side of MS' chest aren't too pretty to look at either. They look bad from *any* angle.

Yes they do. Another reason why I won't be buying it, either.

Seriously, who gives a damn about the whole matrix-in-the-chest thing?

I have no problem with that. Is that inaccurate?

That's why I wholeheartedly approve optional partsforming

Do you like your perfect transformation? Cool, you keep things as they are shown in the picures above.
Do you prefer a cleaner look? Then you just remove the inner chest and slide the entire back/arms/head block forward, to peg into the fake chest.

Probably just impossible to implement at that size, though...

I think it's cool at first. Then it's just a forgotten feature from then on. I could care less about it.

Well, magnus should be taller than prime. To me atleast he looks quite someway taller, proportionally probably much taller than i personally want by first looks.
There is no other NA figures to measure him by, and few real really precise requirements apart from maybe dinbots or other movie characters...
Magnus should have just squashed galvatron in the movie...the top magnus's chest could have aligned with the top of primes head, that would be yhe biggest proportion i'd find reasonable, looking at the pic its way over that...

I don't think it is. I've said this before, but I like to point to the Grapple and Inferno MP's and how you can swap out the toon-accurate cab front for the more realistic/toy-based chromed front. You can swap back and forth if you prefer one for vehicle mode, and the other for bot mode. But if you want, you just leave either exactly as they are for both modes. This is a formula companies should be following more often.

Honestly, I'm actually of a preference to squared windows instead of rectangular for Prime's CAB mode just the same as his robot mode. If you could simply swap those parts out for whichever way you wanted to go in either mode (or keeping one for both) instead of forcing two different sets of parts on the figure, these things would be so much better. And I'd very likely buy one of them.

The open hand design is cool but again a big no for me.
This is the 1 thing they could get me on, a NA prime for my Prime display I want to make now I have several.
This only looks good from 1 angle and that is from below, the double light and window that you can still see in the corners.
It looks like he is wearing his front end, they could have done much better.
When it looks like a step back it is not good.
