I really don’t know this company at all, but I love the character. What’s the deal with the history of QC issues for them?

These look really good. I'd buy the Japanese one if XTB can prove it won't fall apart like Locke.

The fact that they're doing both a US and Japan version is nice; probably not going to get this purely due to focusing my collection a bit more but the Headmasters accurate version of this looks fantastic.

They vary from alright to shit. And I do mean vary, as in 1 release can be solid while the next can be a disaster. I’d wait for reviews.

If I had to pick one, I'd go with Japanese. But since it's P/CP, I'm inclined to buy two anyway. Will get one of each if the QC is up to snuff.

I had their Seaspray, which was excellent. I have their Streetwise which is a crime against humanity.

It is definitely a lot of hit and miss.

Worst case is their Kup figure called Locke. Plenty of fuel in that thread
Also the stunticons set released the cars, then Motormaster, then the trailer for Motormaster, then the accesosry set for the trailer and the cars (including car guns which would have been great to have with each release) after it was strongly suggested that this stuff would be packaged with the trailer.
I think most people have at least some of their stuff that's ok but there are stories of some materials deteriorating over time and design choices that either make figures fragile or difficult to transform. I've not had any issues myself but am wary of buying into any new special teams and careful to follow reviews when handling a new figure.

Their single worst release is their Kup (called Locke), it was so bad it was recalled. As far as I know it's the only time that had happened w/ a 3rd party Transformer.

That said they've also has some excellent releases. Their Cosmos and Motormaster easily fall into the latter category.

They do tend to have complicated Transormations, on average easily the most complicated of any company though Fanstoys has a couple that rival XTB.

Their strength, routinely, is sculpt. They tend to nail the sculpt of a bot. Even the terrible Kup generally looked good. You just couldn't do a damn thing with it.

First Runamuck and Runabout and now punch and counterpunch. If they can refrain from sabotaging themselves these next few releases could represent a positive upward trend for XTB!

I still think FT will do Slugslinger, Misfire, and Triggerhappy. I would like to see them or XTB do Crosshairs and Sureshot and probably another Pointblank. I have little hope Maketoys gets around to finishing Brainstorm and Highbrow. FT may redo the whole set.

This was my most wanted MP. P/CP was my 4th Transformer after Hot Rod, Kup & Blurr as a kid. I preordered both American & Japanese versions.

You pretty much summed up what I was thinking. Alt more is pretty slick.

But in all seriousness, those prices are amazing on top of the figures themselves. I’m down for a bunch!

One could name such a mold as Isaev (Punch) and Stirlitz (Counterpunch) (whoever watched the 12-episode TV feature film "Seventeen Moments of Spring" will understand)

PS And of course I am for the Japanese[IMG] version of the MX-26B.

As evidenced by the photos below, I own a few XTB and KFC figures.

    20210706_154124_HDR~2.jpg 20210717_113123_HDR~2.jpg 20210717_112500_HDR~2.jpg 20210716_130908_HDR~2.jpg 20210716_131709_HDR~2.jpg 20210529_173131_HDR~2.jpg 20210408_141301_HDR~2.jpg 20210302_173744_HDR~2.jpg 20210214_163722_HDR~2.jpg 20210114_173856_HDR~2.jpg 20210110_145211_HDR~2.jpg 20210104_173048_HDR~2.jpg 20201226_131310_HDR~2.jpg 20210323_172325_HDR~2.jpg 20210107_184015_HDR~2.jpg

I felt like a commercial for XTB/KFC for a while now and didn't really understand the grievances hurled toward them... until I did.

And in my brain, I made excuses for KFC when Transistor's hand cracked part... or when Ditka's flight stand failed to support the figure, causing it to snap a landing gear... or when my Stratotanker was missing a wheel...

The good news is that for most of these issues, you can contact XTB, and for a small fee... they will send you a replacement part.

But when the innards of Gravestone's trailer were sliced while following along with EmGo's transformation... that took a lot of energy out of my support for XTB and KFC.

    20210426_093253_HDR.jpg

Between the lack of tolerance, the rediculous transformation, and then the sheering of plastic, suffice it to say... I was not a happy camper.

After I heard about the mess that was Locke, it definitely changed my opinion of them.

Now look... I can't say that they haven't produced some amazing noteworthy figures. They HAVE!!

The five Beserkars are pretty solid!!
    The repainted Swarm look stellar!!
    Klaatu is fantastic!!
    Neptune is great!!
I still love my OG Paean!!
I enjoy my two KFC Junkions!!

But after owning KFC Stratotanker, he's kind of a mess. My XTB Krank can barely stand up these days. And after spending $200.00 on Gravestone's trailer, I simply don't believe the plastic should have sheered.. especially not where it did.

Even after my unfortunate luck and displeasure, I am still considering their Omnibots, Runamuck and Runabout... and these double agents.

But now I do so with a wary eye... whereas before I was much more blindly excited!!
