Yeah you'd think they would just have a few swappable pieces and cater to everyone with one package. Would be better imho.

I'm curious as to where the windscreen goes in robot mode. I would normally think they'd just chuck it on the back (which would be quite useful in hiding the alternate robot mode) but I can't see any obvious way to rotate it around the waist - or anything that resembles a backpack from the angles we've been shown.

 

i have my autobots and decepticons seperated so need 2 so getting both versions

The real windscreen is on the underside of the faux windscreen for bot mode. Beneath the faux windscreen in bot mode (stomach area) is the front part of the real car roof, so it looks like the windscreen panel will just swivel round similar to Sunstreaker's roof exchanging the real car screen with the bot faux screen.

@ibot - just wondering - will this have the same moving top of the head gimmick as the G1 toy that covers the eyes of whichever face you are not using (so it doesn't look quite so much as if the guy has another face on the back of his head)?

I'm definitely going to have to get one of each. I really like the American heads... but the Japanese body is the clear winner! I may need to finagle a bit to make a perfect version of both Bot and Con versions...

 

Holy schnitzel! X-Transbots wants ALL of my money, don't they? One question though: how did they get my want list?  

 

I'm loving this! Looks like X-Transbots is filling in those G1 gaps!

 

I'm leaning towards Japanese version as Decepticon mode will not have a mouth on the back of his head!  

 

I love the look of this. I might get one of each so I can have one for each faction. I just pray to the QC gods that they dont fuck it up
