Been following the wip for a while, but the final version is epic. I doff my cap sir. Bloody well done
Killer-job on this man!! I particularly love the interior-shots there, between the detail & lighting, I truly get the feel I'm standing inside the Ark & has a realistic-feel to it, just the right balance. The entrance-shot with Prime leaving is also one of my favorites, so much nostalgia in this diorama, you did all the right stuff.
this is the playset every kid (and myself) wanted and you made it a reality. Drop your current job and go into architecture!!
It's been a few months since I moved and things are settling down now somewhat. I finally had the chance to start on a few of the touch-ups I had planned a few months ago. I took the advice of Autobot00 and added some painted rock to the broken view screen for a more 3 dimensional look: My next project was to build one more computer module. The tall screen on the post broke off the wall when we moved into the new house, so I had to glue it on again. That's when I decided to build this module and flip the one tube vertically to make everything fit: The new module has a small $1.99 LED light I got at the local hardware store so that it will light up in the middle like the others. I have a few general paint touch ups to make, as well as getting some small cotton pieces to make 3 dimensional clouds on the background boards. I do have a few more ideas floating around, now that I have a little more space to work with in the new basement...if the Ark took me the better part of 8 months...this one may be all of next year at least...
