In JG1 there were Micromasters that were actually members of the main cast. I don't think asking for new versions of those guys with knees, elbows, and limbs that don't pop off constantly is too big of an ask. We had Minicons in Armada that managed to pull it off, so it's definitely possible at that size.

 

I've only been minimally following along with the Micromaster discussion (so I don't know if this has been covered already) but I'd be down for simply turning Micromasters into Core size figures. That would likely upsize them from their typical size but it would considerably improve their quality and favorability with fans (IMO). I'm super impressed with every Core class figure we've gotten in Kingdom and I hope they continue with the same level of quality.

 

I’d prefer Micromasters stay Micro. That’s the point of them. Combiners combine. Headmasters have transforming head partners. Micromasters are the little guys. I do agree that they should get a bigger budget. I think they would have been better had they not done the third mode becoming combining weapons. We could have had a little bit more solid figures.

Why would Puffer have a flipped cab? He's just supposed to be a Huffer recolor anyway.

I am unreasonably pumped for the Puff (see my profile pic). I love me some obscure repaints.

Out of curiosity, does he have a new head? I was hoping for a G1 accurate head, but I assume it will be the same as Kingdom's.

Also is his bot mode color primarily white?

 

I mean, that sounds like Puffer to me.

Don't know why not having a flipped cab is noteworthy, he's just a repaint of Huffer.

I'm more interested in this set for Road Ranger anyway, Puffer is just a neat bonus that'll be fun to have.

 

Everyone wants something different-- I totally would have gotten more Micromasters if they all had really cool combined modes. This is the only reason I got the Air Strike Patrol (aka Dark Saber) and Battle Patrol (aka Neuron Blaster). The Race Car and Sports Car sets did not look appealing individually or in their combined modes. Off Road Patrol looks okay in their combined mode-- maybe I should have picked this up.

 

There's a few that make decent guns without combining as well, like the Irontread mold.

 

I think they are mixing up Puffer and Pipes since their alt modes are pretty much identical

More? Not necessarily. As much as? Sure. At least as much personality as ones can get without a cartoon.

I'm guessing Puffer is a blue Huffer that supposed to look vaguely like Pipes but the latter was heavily retooled with a flipped cab and whatnot, while Puffer is just a straight repaint.

 

Which would pretty much be in line with their G1 versions

 

What Promises? For example:They straight up told us the Micromasters would be far more articulated than ever before. They hyped up the fact that the Micro's heads would turn, they'd have elbows etc. But when it came down to it they failed to deliver those promises. Sure a couple of them had elbows for transformation purposes and yeah 3 of them maybe had actual head articulation.
I didn't say they claimed to complete teams I was saying that missing half of them was a let down for most fans and especially when they eliminated the more popular characters from some of the squads. No, I didn't expect a unique mold for ever single character. They didn't even have that for every character in the original line. But what I did expect was that they would make an effort to vary them. Vary the transformations so that characters like Swindler looked right with his chest folded in the front. There's no excuse for the limited articulation to be greatly hindered on Powertrain because they were too lazy and cheap to do something about his hood section. No reason for Growl to be incapable of standing on his own... along with others.

 

Are they really going to make this set just "Huffer and Pipes swap colors" (blue Huffer, orange Pipes)? That would seem really cheap since Huffer is already at retail and Pipes is presumed to be coming later (assuming Kingdom wave 4 is stocked in decent numbers). I'd hope they come up with something more unique like those Peruvian/Diaclone-esque variants that were blue/green or red and yellow or make something weird up for a Selects set.

Puffer is a G1 miscolor akin to Bumper and Road Ranger I believe is a go bot inspired deco. It's not like they're just pulling these out of their asses lol, there are collectors who want these

 

Slightly disappointed he won't be a more Gobots inspired Optimus Primeish color scheme with red and blue on the Huffer mold, but the black and orange color scheme still looks good and should be nice to have.
