Spoiler Some people are still absolutely losing their minds over the possibility of Mineta being bisexual or homosexual, kind of exposing themselves to be incredibly shallow people in the process. On the one hand they'll demand more representation but then they're incredibly picky and particular at the same time. They can't be flawed or complex and it seems unless they're some shallow one dimensional caricature they won't be happy. Also I know there are people out there who think it's a mistranslation as this wouldn't be the first time that kind of thing has happened and the idiots in the MHA fandom went nuts over an error, but from what I've been able to confirm myself.. unless its an error on Hori's end or it's a joke of some kind... it's legit. The original line is close to "I fell in love with you." I'm kind of hoping it's legit just for all the salt its producing, but then it could just be the love between friends and people are (as usual) jumping several guns. Upon more people getting their eyes on it, it would definitely seem like the line wasn't one of love-love, but moreso admiration. Still... the response to him possibly being bisexual was quite comical.
Well for many it seems that is more important than, art, plot or character. Most of the time they wouldn’t have bought the book anyway. But now that the idea is out there they will fight tooth and nail to make him so. Because once the idea is out there even if like in this case it’s wrong, it can never be taken back and go away. I expect a campaign in a few months for the creator to fix the character on Twitter. And the evidence will be that one mistranslated panel.
I get a feeling this will be more a Western thing because somebody I know pointed out that Japan does not see Mineta's comment as romantic.
Yes it's definitely more of a western thing. There is a group that are still pissed the Falcon and the Winter Solider aren't together as a couple. They have even been going after the actors because it didn't happen and trying to get them cancelled from time to time.
Okay leaks from the manga and plot for an upcoming episode. Chapter 322 Spoiler Bakugo apologizes to Deku in front of everyone(even calls him by his actual first name), before Deku finally passes out from exhaustion. He is then brought back to UA, where he almost leaves again due to civilians protesting his presence, but Uraraka urges him not to. The chapter ends with her line, “Who saves the heroes, when their in pain.” Episode 108, airing August 21st Spoiler My Villain Academia begins…
Spoiler I'm proud of Bakugou, not only did he apologize to Deku in front of their whole class, he even admitted he was afraid of his potential to surpass him. With all this character development I'm sure he's gonna remain quite high in the popularity polls. Also No.13 is cute as frick with her helmet off.
Mineta would be the last character I'd expected to be bi. The translation was just bad wording, he admired Midoriya as a hero, not as a lover. Didn't the author confirm Toga was bi? Also don't diss my man, Mineta. He may be a pervert, but he's only a hero to get girls, that's relatable. But, the character I relate to more is Aoyama. Also I like Mineta's clever uses of his quirk. I've been watching more of the show for myself, and I love it. I just wish they gave more individual characters their own spotlight.
The latest movies numbers show why they get made. It’s made $3.10 million on its FIRST DAY. Which is similar to how much prior movies made on their first THREE days.
A few movie spoilers for those want to see them. Spoiler Despite advertising, Bakugo and Todoroki don’t get a ton of focus, they are secondary. The story focuses on Deku and new character Rody Soul. The rest of 1A only get cameo fight moments. Same goes for those new stealth suits, only appear in the beginning of the films first five minutes. After that, gone. But despite their limited roles, Bakugo and Todoroki both get awesome 1v1 fights at the end. The formers is particularly brutal to the point you wonder how the hell is he even alive. Deku beats Flect Turn(who’s quirk allows him to deflect attacks back at his opponents) by hitting him with an attack so strong he can’t deflect it, United States of Smash.
Latest entry in the stupid part of the fandom. Spoiler I may disagree with what this guy says about RWBY, but I definitely agree with him here.
