That's it. I'm pulling the trigger, I already got DX9 Hanzo back in early 2019 and always wanted Fuuma, think I'll go for this repaint instead of the OG color (and possible slight remold? correct me if I'm wrong)

Ah. What really impressed me originally is that they managed to make even the treads rubber, which is very rare, Only other times I've seen that on a MP-esque figure (not just G1,) was Sparktoys Spartacus and MT Ironwill.

Well, people have complained about the rubber treads disintegrating on them, though it hasn't happened to me just yet. The new versions don't come with replacement treads either, unfortunately. Personally I'd have preferred plastic treads, or something like MMC Eris' treads (working plastic treads), but that's probably impossible for how small the treads are on Fuuma.

I prefer working treads over molded ones.

They must live in an environment that's somehow harmful to the rubber, or just have bad luck then. I got my Ironwill back in mid-2018 and his treads are still going strong. I wonder what figures the rubber failed on them.

Oh! I forgot to mention. DX9's Galvatron has it too.
    I agree

Iron Will's treads don't have notable breaking issues. Fuuma's treads are a fairly common breaking point.

That's probably due to the high tension the treads are under.

I got Dark Blade in, and first impressions are good. The colors are great, but definitely on the subtle side; I imagine the metallic version is more striking in person. I ADORE the diecast purple sword, idk why. The way it attaches to the back is badass too. I see what people were saying about the feet, they’re somewhat finicky but not too bad. Are the pieces the chest wings attach to supposed to have wiggle room? Don’t see anything wrong, so pretty sure it’s fine, but I want to double check. Also, anything else to be aware of aside from the rubber treads everyone’s mentioned?

I really like the figure, however I will admit it was somewhat of an impulse buy, and now that I’m heavily considering a legends scale collection, part of me wonders if I’ll keep him long term ^^’ We’ll see I guess, but there’s no denying the shelf presence!

Those pieces are on hinges for the transformation, they are supposed to tab in on the front of the chest in robot mode.

    Nope

It's been mentioned a couple times before, but I forgot that the heels could be extended out on a slider for more stability. That helped me a lot for more dynamic poses :)

I got my dark blade a short time ago but I finally had some time to crack him open. He's a huge, hefty bot. I'm loving the IDW look with the purple & black deco. I feel like it makes him look so much more intimidating. I haven't found the pose I'd like to display him in but the articulation is absolutely awesome. I'm so happy I got this one. The metallic looks great too but I have the FT version for my G1 representation and I wanted something a bit different to display. 20210906_232937.jpg 20210906_232900.jpg 20210906_232758.jpg 20210906_232603.jpg 20210906_232555.jpg 20210906_232541.jpg 20210906_232937.jpg 20210906_232900.jpg 20210906_232758.jpg 20210906_232603.jpg 20210906_232555.jpg 20210906_232541.jpg

He’s a great figure I just think he’s way too large to be a fun figure. He’s more of a statue I find, if he were MMC Hexatron sized he would be the perfect Sixshot.

Why don't you spread out the chest wing pieces?

Gcreation produce IDW MP scale bots, so CHUG scale was not an option.

Hes a big guy for what he is but definitely not too big. Hes very fun to play with and pose! Aside from Dark Blade I have a lot of fun with my 12" oversize bots and none are too large to be fun. I can understand something being too big to fit a particular scale within a collection, but not too big to have fun with!

Dark Blade is amazing overall and one thing I can't get over is how nice Gcreation made his fully articulated hands. They are very well made and I wish I could get some extras to adapt to some other bots.

I find that collectors in general prefer their figures to be big, but I personally like smaller figure. It's easier to store, move around and to play with. For this guy he's a big boi for sure, but for me it's not that hard to handle him. I had alot fun posing and exploring gimmicks. My only complaint is the joints are way tooooo tight, making me scared of breaking him.

As much as I love dark blade, think I have to part with him due to space. If anyone wants him, selling him complete with box and all accessories, basically brand new. Taken out and displayed briefly then put back in package. Just PM me
