I'm thinking of getting the new version of Meteor, having never owned one before, and I wondered what improvements are you hoping they will make to it?

 

The only things I've heard are very vague. New paint and new face.

 

Like @Christiano said, new faces but I think the paint is the same. They did upgrade the mold a bit with a better connection at the nosecone. It also comes with the wing fillers installed and some blast effects.

I sold my original for this one bit only because I want to encourage them through sales to reissue the other two seekers. The current aftermarket prices are just dumb.

 

From what I’ve been told, that is definitely going to happen. We’re supposed to get Booster in the fall, so that’ll be the real milestone.

Right. I have them installed on Meteor already as well as the MP-44 head adapter, so I’m really hesitant to jump at this. It just doesn’t look significantly different in any way aside from the face, which is moot.

 

Was this improvement also made on some of the repaints?

What are the chances that the head is bigger?

 

I doubt it. Unless they redesign that part under the cockpit to fit it.

I got mine today and he’s pretty great after you stretch him out and peg everything in correctly out of the box so he can actually stand up, but I’m a bit sad. Since my MP-03 will forever be my alt mode display I was sad to find they have pinned the nose cone section onto the back. I bought Meteor over waiting for a KO MP-52 because I have a KO MP-44 SS head and because Jobby’s review shows a perfectly clean back when you remove the nose cone section. It’s not a deal breaker since the colors and proportions are still better as long as you have that SS head (and adapter), but parts-forming that nose cone sure did put Meteor over the top.

 

Absolutely my favorite MP SS on the market or in the pipeline.

 

Does anyone know if MP-52's head will fit on Meteor without an adapter? I know the Starscream head included with MP-44 will work with an adapter, but I couldn't find anything about MP-52's.

 

I'm curious about this also. I'm fine with the MT seekers except for the head sculpts now, want something a little closer to toon accurate like the new MP or Deformation Space figures. It's a shame those guys aren't doing the conehead seekers or I'd jump on those.

 

no but you can get replacement heads. I have some. theyre pretty good

 

where do you get the replacement heads? the ones that come with the reissue?
