For those interested, I actually managed to find a shelf load of Pop! Shockwaves at Tesco in Portadown, so might be worth having a look in your local one if interested.

Be careful with the trailer hinges on Kingdom Rodimus. The grey ones at the front have scary stress marks, one of them is near the point of breaking. Fortunately the ones on the top are fine.

I wonder if getting some small magnets and supergluing them under the top of the sides would make a solid enough connection to close up the trailer without dealing with the tabs? Or even reinforce them.

Right Has-lads. You can't sell me any more repaints of Siege Megatron. The tank is empty. You've ended on a dorky high note with this guys fan-mode-made-real starship alt-mode.

They are underhanded sods - look at what they did a few weeks back on the Lego Friends set - As soon as the Argos sale stock was gone, they hiked the price whilst doing their discount, which meant it was no cheaper than before.

Always liked Smyths, but these little 'nuances' are leaving a sour taste on the palate.

Bear in mind that ShowZ and others used the photoshop images of MP52 into Thundercracker and Skywarp done by chchchch on tfw2005 in order to list the figures prior to having TT images.

Just like the fan made Spidey posters that are being used by cinemas, I think that retailers are going to do this more and more. So long as they say so, I don't think it's an issue, but implying it's the thing you're purchasing is dodgy ground...

Urgh. One of the draws is MOTU: Origins figures are 'only' £15. Whacking a few quid makes it unpalatable.

Hmmm. I will be messaging a fella who is selling the figs at £10 a pop...

With these comments about lego, motu and tfs, does it feel like things are getting pushed higher in prices across the board, and reaching a point where most folks are jumping off from the new prices? I know everything has got more expensive of late, but these toys all seem to have risen higher than most other things (except fuel which is stupidly high at the moment). Just some musings.

Cheers for this, hopefully I can get it from Oz though with other stuff as I seriously begrudge paying £15 for a fucking Funko.

Is that a version of Blade, that Marvel figure? I'm struggling to remember anybody else with swords.

Yup, they did that with a Lego set I was considering. I mean if the stuff is shelf warming and you know you're gonna clearance it all by necessity, what's the point of paying staff to run around continually changing labels and moving the stock into position (there's way more in the back, usually)?

It's not like Smyths don't have serious competition either, only their size negates their dumbest decisions. I'd love to see The Entertainer grow past their Asda deal to the point where they can properly stock stuff themselves. It's certainly getti there if how much Hasbro stuff they're obtaining is an indicator.

I love them as you know, but they are definitely not worth £18 by any means.

You'd imagine the idea is 'They'll never sell for this price, so when we eventually discount them back they'll look cheap'. *Spoiler boxes commit suicide from the shelf near the roof, fatally injuring a staff member*

    @Q Prime Cheers!

Just pulled my ss86 hot rod box out for todays deskbot, and seeing his guns, it occured to me. Does hot rod ever use his pistols in the movie? I think Arcee is drawn with one of hot rods pistols when Starscream signals the retreat from the city, but hot rod always uses his wrist pipe blasters, doesn't he?

Also, how cool would it have been if he deployed his wrist saw against Galvatron in the final battle?

Dangnabbit, he now has a paint scratch on his chin and a stress mark on an elbow. I swear they weren't there before the move, and he was in his box so he should have been fine. Rassum Frassum.

Too dangerous, kids would immitate it would their own wrist mounted circle saws!
    Or pizza cutters I guess.

Though now you mention it, I don't recall him ever using a gun in the movie. Also wow, he had some serious integrated weaponry. Wrist pipe lasers capable of downing an Autobot shuttle (not that they're hard to cause to crash  ), circle saws capable of cutting through the metal flesh of a Quintesson squid...

Someone will probably prove me wrong with a screenshot, but I think you're right; neither Hot Rod or Rodimus use a gun.

True. Although by that logic, it's ok to throw metal spears into each other's abdomens. :lolol

At least the pipe lasers did nothing to the shuttle until he got a shot up it's thruster vent, which is when the whole thing exploded. But yeah, he had some sweet integrated stuff.

Rodimus at least had the excuse of only being there last minute, and he used his rifle quite a bit in season 3. But Hot Rod... I don't think he ever used it during his season 3 appearances either. Was his targetmaster the first time we see hot rod on screen holding an actual gun?
