Skywarp wasn’t Megatron but he was still a war criminal for millions of years.

 

BW is also hundreds of years set apart from G1 and the Japanese BW series are thousands of years later. It's not inconceivable that they'd share a name. Also, G1 Skywarp was also offline for millions of years.

 

Most Beast Wars characters assume these names later in life. They admire the military strength of these characters and don’t so much worry about the war crimes. This Skywarp is a teacher and respects the warriors of the past. It would be like recognizing the strategic genius of Alexander the Great while having the cognitive dissonance to forget the millions of people that he killed and subjugated.

Also, legal wanted to use the name to keep the mark.

Correct me if im wrong, but if your going on Amazon couldnt you just preorder this and let Preorder Price Guarantee do its thing? At that point why wait around?

 

Pre-order price guarantee doesn't account for sales/discounts after it launches. You only get a price match if it drops *before* the preorder ships.

If Amazon doesn't mark it down between now and whenever it ships, they could change it to a buck the next day and if you already ordered that's your hard luck.

 

Speak of the devil, Amazon has *finally* adjusted the price of the Skywarp/Sideswipe set.

 

My order still says $52.99. How do I update the price on my order?

 

Not sure, when it's triggered for me it's been automatic. You could try contacting their Customer Chat.

EDIT: Give it a few days, as I think it just happened today.

Cancel it and reorder it. If you don’t want to do that maybe call Amazon customer service or something.

 

Yay! My price dropped. But I noticed the Botropolis set got bumped up $3.

 

That puts you at the end of the line, effectively losing your place in order fulfillment. Amazon doesn't always end up getting enough to fulfill preorders so that could be a bigger issue.

 

Nice. Glad to know the rocket pack works on the "earth" version Sideswipe mold!

 

That's exactly why I'm not gonna do that. I'd rather pay a couple extra bucks for the set than miss out completely because my preorder wasn't fulfilled and then they're at ridiculous aftermarket prices forever after

 

Yeah the best move is to get a good copy of the set in hand first, then go to customer service and ask for an adjustment with screen shots showing the price you want.

 

Now that these are getting shipped out to people I'll reiterate that I'll buy Sideswipe off of anyone who only wanted Skywarp. Just send me a PM
