Hmm, speaking about future figures with backwards compatibility, I wonder whether the C.O.M.B.A.T. System aka the presence of 5 mm ports and posts all over the figures will still be around in some way, shape, or form.

It'd feel odd if the Titans Return take on the Headmaster gimmick is retained but not the CW take on combiners cause the take on the gimmick has proven to work. Some figures more then others but still. Perhaps for the new take on the stunticons there's an option for Motormaster to be compatible with the CW limbs if one wishes?

I'd rather each combiner be it's own glorious oversized beast, like Predaking and Devy, but hopefully with modern engineering so the individual bots don't suffer as much

I’d be upset if they did away with the combiner wars compatible plugs. Hopefully they stick around. I’d love a new Menasor… but it’d be really nice to have them work with older figures. Also I want them to stick with the individual bots for the scale so we don’t have stupidly out of scale bots when not combined.

Why tho? You already have multiple CW versions of those molds/characters, forcing backwards compatibility will, more likely than not, detract from the new set.
And 99% of ppl will just display the established combiner, not some random team.
I wouldn't mind them making it a 6 member team by adding Off Road, in the interest of keeping things more or less in scale.

Not thrashings your opinion, I just honestly fail to see any upside to it

Personally if they are very similar to the CW versions I may not get them. I don’t really like the whole CW/PotP aesthetic for the most part and I think part of the reason was they had a lot of sacrifices with each limb having to be both an arm and a leg as well as be mix and matchable.

The combiner ports and plugs were not the issue with CW. It was the joint tolerances on all the individual figures, and to an extent the aesthetic of the whole line, though that one is far more subjective.

That being said, I won't be upset if they introduce a new combiner system, whether that be a team by team one, or one that allows for scramble city style mix and matching with potential future teams.

I would just hope that the possible Protectobots (Hot Spot and Blades specifically) can be compatible with the two Stunticons we'd need for a new version of Victorion/Megatronia, cause I'd love a new set of the Megatronia gals.

I mean, you can treat them as troop builders for your own collection, but aside from the Drone they're not intended to be.

Shattered Glass is done, at least for the time being. All 5 figures have been revealed.

I think the trailer is going to be a Skeleton, from the description I read, it was Motor Master with Trailer. And that would mean the trailer is going to be the primary mechanism for the combination.

honestly it seems to be the only way they could do a commander class motor master and still have the robot mode and vehicle mode scale

They're not going to BE the CW aethstetic, we've been using the WFC look for three years.

I think I worded it poorly, didn’t mean the aesthetic. Meant more how it was set up so that each deluxe could be used as an arm and and a leg for any voyager.
