So I found one thing I'm not too fond of in regards to the design of Carnage. I don't really like that he's bigger / bulkier than Venom because it's kind of unnecessary? It worked with Riot in the first movie but Carnage is a slim, lanky kind of beast who makes up for his lack of muscle mass with all the weaponry he can summon from his body, him being bigger just makes it feel a bit too much like the final battle from the first movie except we also know Shriek is also a thing... Maybe the movie will prove me wrong, just a thing I noticed. Also maybe could've done a bit more in regards to the color so he didn't quite just look like a red tinted Venom.
He doesn't look bulky at all. He's got more tendril mass, but his actually body is pretty wiry, like it's supposed to be. He definitely doesn't have the shoulder breadth that Venom does.
Bah, I guess that's true. Maybe It's just something I'll get used to the more I see him. Giving it another look, yeah I see what you mean. It also appears like Carnage has a second row of teeth, which is pretty creepy.
The writer of the most recent Venom run revealed that Sony talked to him about Venom 2, and he personally said he thought the 2nd film sounded like an improvement compared to the previous film.
Hope this is just the paint of the statue but I hope Carnage gets more black veins in the film proper.
So he gets the Carnage symbionts by biting Eddie’s hand… Not sure how I feel about that. Seems pretty uninspired. I guess it works.
Pretty sweet new trailer. Honestly I'm not expecting much from this, but if it's like the first one I'll probably enjoy it even if it's not very good. Being able to finally see a movie about Venom and Carnage has been on my 'wants' list for awhile, so I'm sure I'll find some enjoyment in it either way.
That was quite a trailer, much better than the last one. Seeing live-action Kasady/Creepy is chilling. Even before he transforms, there's something ominous and off about him. And Carnage, yeesh, he looks like a living nightmare. Spoiler It looks like he's become a half-man half-symbiote through biting Eddie/Venom. That's one unusual direction, but it cuts out any the family dynamic and keeps them as rival symbiotes.
I am liking Harrelson's performance as Casdidy. I normally thoroughly enjoy Hardy's acting but I was lukewarm on him as Brock. I liked the first movie well enough and hopefully Venom 2 doesn't suffer from sequelitis.
PfffHAHAHAHAHAHA okay, the “oh SHIT” had me dead. So much of Venom’s charm is hearing this bizarre murderous alien act like an actual human being sometimes, having a sense of humor and showing fear and self-loathing. So that was hysterical. This is gonna be bonkers.
Yeah, not the best Marvel movie, or movie in general, but the interactions between Eddie and Venom are fun.
I never saw the first one, just could never get into it. The voice acting of Venom really bugs me and instantly takes me out of the moment I'm suppose to be enjoying. The CGI looks pretty fun though, and Woody is always great to watch so I may watch this one.
Well they just killed any chance they had of me actually going to see it in theaters since that is the weekend Halloween Kills comes out. Halloween is going to KILL venom 2.
You're deluded and ignorant. The first IT grossed 700 million and was still more than 150 million behind Venom. An R-rated sequel to an aged horror franchise can't compete with PG-13 mainstream blockbuster superheroics
