    You know what? I change my mind. Seeing Falkor totally having a blast with Chunk and that pure joy on Falkor's face? I'm cool with it. :D . He's gotta be getting a kick out of Chunk jiggling while flying and Chink clearly is having a ball too.

    You still need some of those stickers to be toon accurate. Mainly the stripes. He looks too bare without, and should have them. But they are a great set regardless.

    Absolutely !

    They've even thrown in two sets of stickers, one for a more toon look, one for a retro G1 look. Impressive stuff !

    My condolences. It was quite clear how much you loved & cared for him. It can’t have been an easy decision but you’ve done the best for him.

    @Lothar Hex,
    Appreciated, will drop you a PM at some point!

    @privatespoon,
    Thanks. All things considered it wasn't the outcome I wanted but from what the vet said Oreo had evidently been toughing it out for several months before it became apparent anything was seriously amiss...he was eating normally and the weight loss didn't really become apparent until his back legs started failing just prior to last week and I'd just put the slowing down due to his getting older so I'm thinking now he didn't want any of us to worry and was soldiering on as long as he could.

    Rebecca has now had something to eat and came down for a wander for a bit. She can still smell Oreo's scent so she's gonna be a bit confused for a while but I'm with her all the way, I keep telling her how much she's loved and how strong she is so I hope that helps her.....she was happily trying to bite my toes earlier which is a good sign :D

    @Siege Fan , personally I can't wait for that man-at-arms. The others are a bit meh to me.

    Also in MOTU related news, I'm very happy to have just scored a sealed 200x Zodak for £20. Along with Two-bad, I always regretted selling that one.

    Yeaaaah. I think I've fallen down the MOTU:Origins hole.

    20210802_214055.jpg

    Le sigh. Got me right in the nostalgia bone this line has. I picked up a Revelations He-Man but honestly? He's not got that je ne sais quois that the Origins figures have. I'm not sure I'll be picking up more of those. Skeletor especially did not do it for me. I had him in hand in Smyths and all I could think of was he wasn't wowing me like 200X Skeletor does.

    Question for chaps who are more familiar with this line, is Prince Adams shirt removable? It looks like it should be, but it seems glued together and I don't want to force it.

    Edit
    Sorry to hear about Oreo @bcm77. Always sucks to lose a loved pet but to cancer? Awful news. He had a good life with you, so you can take consolation there.

    They're more resilient than we give them credit for.

    To me, she'll likely gain comfort from his scent, because you did the (very sensible, in my view) thing of letting her say goodbye. It might also be a little confusing, but probably not as much as we would probably think it might (humans have a weird thing of transference with animals, where we inadvertently, or deliberately, give them our rationale for such things, whereas in reality they're much more pragmatic than we are! I sometimes wonder who's actually in charge...)

    Thinking of both of you tonight.

    I find the proportions on MAA so weird. Like they worked off a single still image that was only ever meant to be animated.

    Always loved the original Two Bad, looking forward to the inevitable Origins release.

    Looking good!

    Yeah, pop the head, arms and legs off and it's removable with a struggle. It'll go back on too, all of it does require a little stretching though. Nothing that leaves stretch marks thankfully. I did that with one of mine I've so many of them in preparation for a hopeful Jet Sled or blaster or whatever!

    Hahahahaha! Do I at least get partial credit for taking Sandstorm?

    You know I've done a couple of transformers at the beach pics over the years - it's never actually occurred to me to take some constructicons... Alright kids, grab the sunscreen, we're going back to the beach!

    Edit: a few of the older pics, all shamefully lacking a Devastator *hangs head in shame*

    WTF, Smyths? Plus so far at least Skeletor has stayed the same price.

    There seems to be no rhyme or reason to their pricing at the moment.

    Edit - Netflix TFs have an extra £2 on them. And those are peg warmers now from what I've seen. What a fucking clueless company.

    Never forgotten indeed!

    Thank you for sharing these lovely pics of Oreo <3

    You're not kidding, that's just wasteful! :eek:  Like they could easily have had Bee's shield over his shoulder or even just behind him inside the packaging and brought the top of the box down quite a bit without it being cramped.

    Those are wild! And takes me right back to when I still watched Power Rangers as a kid and they did a crossover with the live action Turtles series at the time and they both thought the others were fictional. That was crazy. I guess they don't want the TF team having all the fun with crossovers :D

    Minicombiner!

    You could say that :lol

    Oh and my Splooshasaurus BONESAUR has been dispatched from IDT, and 3 of the 4 Cyberverse BAF Deluxes have been dispatched from Amazon.com, woo!

    @tikgnat,
    Thanks Kit, I think that's the main thing now, he had a great life with us, whoever abandoned him that lead to him being taken in by Cheshire Ferret Rescue where we got him from was clearly not worthy of having him in their life.

    So many things coming to mind from our time together and all stuff that made me smile eg, he used to hide Dreamies cat snacks in my Dad's slippers which he decided to start doing by himself, his love of rolling around on bubble wrap and his happy dance he did where he'd bounce up and down on the spot making cute noises. He was fantastic and between the memories and the pics I've got I'll always be able to remember the good times which far outweighed the bad.

    Very nice MOTU display you've got going!

    As I have far too many other collections going on I've just got Fisto and I think he's really nicely done, he looks very old school but has more modern articulation which works very well.

    @4249david,
    Good point! animals tend to be very direct with their feelings, they usually let you know one way or the other in no uncertain terms so she's probably quicker to accept things than I am, I'm just concerned as she lost her original buddy Ferelith due to an accident and she was on her own for 3-4 months until we found the rescue centre where we got Oreo from.

    As she's too old to move anyone new in with her I hope that being on her own again doesn't cause her to go downhill as she's still zipping around as fast as when she was a nipper and she's approx a year older than Oreo. When I took her back up to HQ after she had a wander earlier she started licking me like crazy which is usually a setup to a bite but this time she didn't so I think she appreciates I'm trying to make things as easy for her as possible and show how much she's loved.

    @Dobbie,
    Appreciated!

    Reading all the nice messages from people here has certainly helped and whilst I'd sooner have him here sniffing around as usual I also didn't want to see him get any worse because after being so agile and bouncy for so long it was hard enough seeing how he slowed down over the past few months and I didn't even realise what a good job he was doing of hiding how bad things really were, so knowing he's not in any more pain definitely helps.

    @Xaran Alamas,
    My pleasure, I didn't take any pics of Oreo in the last couple of weeks as I'd sooner remember him as he was for the most part of our time together so I've been going through all the older ones and they're amongst my favourites as they sum up what a happy fellow he was.

    The contrast in personalities worked really well with Rebecca and early on I think Oreo was a bit scared of her as she was so boisterous but after a couple of weeks they just clicked and the only time they were apart after that was a few days after his operation in 2018 when he first had a cancer scare. He needed a bit of space to recover from the op whilst the wound healed and didn't need jumping on as Rebecca usually did that as her way of saying "Let's play!" so she went back in the old outside HQ for a bit.

    EDIT,
    Generations Select blue Bluestreak?

    Might have some of that as it's my favourite colour scheme for the character.

    So sorry for your loss. I know it must have been a tough decision, but it was obviously the right one. Thanks for sharing all your pictures and adventures with Oreo. Please do keep them up with Rebecca.

    I didn't realise they crossed over but I actually had The Next Mutation on DVD, it was so bad I gave it to the nephew!

    That WC box is terrible, it makes the figures look especially tiny. And it's a weird collection in every sense!
    ...

    Comedians - I know they're working off a script but they seem determined to spell that out these days. Why would that ever be funny? Just saw a clip of a guy mentioning he researched his joke FFS.

    Also if what's on Netflix specials is the best material... Jesus.

    Pffft that's not my Origins display, that's just where the toys are in the living room! My youngest helps herself to them everyday, which is part of the joy of them.

    I do worry about her imagination though.

    'Kiki... why are all the women in pieces?'
    'Big He-Man (Revelations) chopped them up.'
    'Why did big He-Man chop them up?'
    'Because they were naughty.'

    I am raising a maniac.

    As to pets... my cat Spice died of cancer in... 2017? 4 years ago already. He was absolutely fine until the day he wasn't. Turns out he had a tumour the size of a fist growing in him and we had him put to sleep the same day I brought him into the vets. Cancer fucking sucks.

    @Siege Fan, gotcha. It's odd his shirt has been glued together though. As to Smyths crazy fluctuating prices... I don't want to blame Brexit for everything but surely its got something to do with this? Sigh. Still.need to grab a Huffet and Warpath... but I gotta say getting yet another TF that turns into a car/truck? Hrm.

    Says the man who's buying action figures that are pretty much all from the same mould... shut up Kit.

    It's legit. Wreckgar mentioned the other week that it was about to hit the black market along with Pipes. Allegedly another Target exclusive.

    Went to see The Suicide Squad after work and loved it, although I don't think bird lovers will enjoy it. Seriously, what exactly DID a bird do to James Gunn for them to warrant the treatment they get in this film???

    A couple of nice deep cut nods - Calendar Man!! - a couple of moments of pure Malcolm Tucker from Capaldi, and, finally, a decent performance from John Cena!

    So, that's TWO decent DCU flicks now, after Shazam :D
