Is it possible to mix and match parts from both of those Blackarachnia to make one show accurate one? I feel like both the robot and spider legs are actually more accurate

 

I felt like that myself at first but now that I've theoretically scored one, not going to count my chickens until I actually pick it up from Target, I like the idea of keeping origin Bee in vehicle mode and using this one as is cybertronian robot mode. It's more accurate to both the Netflix show and the comic book.

I think you guys are under estimating the desirability of this figure for both collectors and Casual fan. The Netflix Volkswagen version was not readily available, and technically isn't accurate to either of the war for Cybertron media. The blockier Cliffjumper mold actually looked more like bumblebee in that continuity, at least that's presented in the media.

 

Got my set in today thanks to a friend who found it in the wild, also grabbed me the T-Wrecks too! Along with the origins Bee, been a good week!

 

Looks like I missed the memo on this going up. Hopefully it goes back up in stock cause right now I've had no luck getting this four pack since every Target I go to only seems to be stocking Funko Pops & Lego. I was lucky in finding Origins Bumblebee & T-Wrecks but this, this is not looking good.

 

all the targets here in the St louis area got like at least 5 in... i saw five on shelves... and now all gone within 2 days... now i wish I picked up another because I never even thought to put the spider legs onto the main blackarachnia.... doh...

 

If anyone finds a spare in the wild, please hit me up. I'll pay retail + shipping + plus a little extra. I have little faith it will show up at my Target....

In order to justify just only wanting Fangry, I took Blackarachnia's spider legs and Nemesis Primal's silver feet since I don't have the Netflix version. I couldn't care less about having those two on my shelf so they'll probably go into storage like the Bumblebee.

 

Oh wow, I do like those feet on Prime. It's such a small change but made a big impact.

EDIT: Items picked up, swap done! Now I just have to decide what to name her. I was gonna get rid of Nemesis Primal but it looks so nice in hand, so now both of them are going to be Nemesis Prime's henchmen.

Remember back when John Warden said Bee wasn't going to be a Cliffjumper retool? Okay, he was lying. (Actually I'm just joking... my guess is, Origins Bee was in development as Siege Bee, and for whatever reason it got delayed. The IDW comic makes it pretty clear that Origins Bee was his intended cybertronian mode from the start. Meaning that the Bee they intended really WAS a completely original mold, and the licensed VW Bee is such an extensive remold it's better thought of as a reshelling, as only his arms, legs, and crotch share tooling with the original)

 

Just a wild goose chase locally since that one in the Bronx was snatched from under me.

 

Strangely I saw a ton of the netflix Bumblebees (picked up one for myself and 3 for friends, but passed on about 15-20 others) and I don't hunt much anymore, I must have gotten lucky on stock days. I wish they had gone full-on fanwank here and given us a yellow cliffjumper down to the head. As a kid, sadly my Bumblebee was red and my Cliffjumper yellow.

 

I think it would be great, and hilarious, if they released a two pack (either in Buzzworthy or Gen selects or something) with an all yellow Cliffjumper, and an all red Bumblebee in the Volkswagen mold.

Only list it as "Bumblebee and Cliffjumper". Don't specify which is which. Just Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, that way they could get away with using the beetle if VW really only wants Bee from it, but for people like me, I can use them as Blow-Out and Stinger.

 

Figured I'd ask again. Is anyone here willing to part with Fangry at all? The rest of the boxset doesn't interest me.

I think you’re going to have a hard time since, based on comments, Fangry is the one most people are getting this for.

 

yeah, you will be better off buying the entire 4 pack and selling off the BW figures that you don’t want to recoup some of your money back. Fangry by itself is currently selling for $85 on eBay.

 

Managed to snag a set! Quick review:

Fangry: hands-down the BEST figure of the 4. Luckily the ankles were ok. Transforms like a dream. Both modes are awesome representations of the original character. Knees are loose, but stands fine without assistance. A+++++++

Bumblebee: bot mode looks beautiful with that toon yellow and chest insignia. Could easily stand in as G1 or Netflix BB (he didn't transform in Netflix!) Vehicle mode is solid, even though not the classic VW car. A-

Blackarachnia: neat colors in bot mode, but holy hell is transformation fiddly. B-/C+

Nemesis Primal: munky... ew... Nemesis colors plus faceplate? Better. "Grape Ape" reference? Makes me laugh. D+

Edit: forgot the Allspark. Same one as the 3rd walmart spoiler box. Still too tiny, plus is essentially a blast effect, which means it WILL melt paint if in contact for extended time. Advice: throw it in the spare parts bin and buy a 3d printed one online.
