Possibly, but I suppose it depends on what the next series is about and who Hasbro says is important.

 

Yeah, I got no problem whatsoever with Kingdom BA's persuasion, (hell, she was one of the few decent parts of the whole mess) but acting like it was some genuine romance and the original Blackarachnia and Silverbolt's was not is pretty disingenuous. It was pretty damn obvious Bolt's love for BA was mutual by the end of the original show. Hell, her entire character arch in BM was trying to get him back and "rescue" him from the dark as he had "rescued" her. That's way deeper and more genuine than the playful advances in Kingdom.

 

I believe that is how the majority of us feel, but some people can only tear down the previous version to defend their preferred version.

 

Because all change is always good no matter what, right? A fire changes your house to ashes, a layoff changes your income to zero, a fall from a mile up changes your status to dead. These must all be Super Awesome (TM) because change LOL! People think that line about change is far more clever than it actually is.

 

And that's a disingenuous comparison. Changes to fictional characters aren't comparable to any of that.

Not all change is beneficial and nowadays I just cringe when someone says something along the lines of "wow its literally called Transformers you gaiz how can you not like change?"

These things need to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

A few more points I want to add:
- The few female characters in the show were some of the stronger characters in the trilogy(Moonracer dying horribly and Elita and Chromia being unceremoniously killed off notwithstanding), Arcee was a standout among the Ark crew in both Earthrise and Kingdom, along with Airazor and BA in Kingdom
- The Maximals in general blew the Ark crew out of the water, with both Primal being a better leader than Prime and the Maximals having more of an impact than their Autobot brethren. Funny enough, the opposite was true for the Decepticons/Predacons
- Bumblebee, Ratchet and Wheeljack were the most notable characters on the Ark with Bumblebee improving the most since Siege, him chewing out Prime for going alone in the finale of Kingdom was one of the best moments in the trilogy imo

- There were multiple chances of doing something with a select few other characters but the series never really committed to for one reason or another

• In Siege, there was the scene where Prowl was in charge of keeping tabs on Jetfire, along with being in charge of a self destruct mechanism. After saving Prowl they could have made an interesting angle of the two becoming close friends
• In Earthrise, Cog catches Prime pummeling Megatron, it looked like they were gonna start a thing where he tries to stop Prime from killing him, be he was sucked out of the Ark before things could get interesting
• In Kingdom, during the hallucination scene, Sideswipe clearly has a hallucination where he reunites with Sunstreaker. Wish they established this in the beginning as that would have given him something to do

Whatever happened to the Ultra Magnus Protocols in Bumblebee?

Primal clearly demonstrates that every single other leader is more competent than Optimus "TELL ME YOU FORGIVE ME" Prime. Ultra Magnus' plans to surrender were logical under the circumstances. Elita was competent and decisive. Primal was compassionate and thought on his feet. Even Megatron, who quite frankly was an idiot himself, had some kind of plan beyond "salt the earth behind me so the other guy doesn't win." (BW Megatron doesn't count in this instance because he was a groveling sycophant and was in charge of about four dudes, two of whom betrayed him and the last of which may as well not have existed.)

 

Shockwave's virus got rid of them all the way back in Siege

 

Actually a lot of those things are just tragedies, and when people...no. I'm assuming people actually have common sense. LOL what am I thinking. You're right. Let's just "change" the world by burning it down. We can start over without unintelligent nonsense being pushed as rational thought.

 

The tease at the end was a little aggravating. It\'s the final part of a trilogy; kinda late in the game to promise something cool. 

Transformers are extinct apart from a handful of Autobots and Decepticons, and this is upposed to be the happy ending? 

Look, show...if you\'re going to use this entire season to show us that Decepticons are capable of mercy, redemption, and rebellion...then how the heck would a planet full of Decepticons be worse than like 20 survivors of mixed allegiences? Optimus Prime is this show\'s greatest monster.
