Target website said the World's Collide 4 pack was in stock at Lakeside Target, just came from there and there weren't any on the shelves and the employee I asked said they weren't in the back.
You must've asked the wrong person and was unlucky. I was just there a few minutes ago asking the toy specific person about the new Lego Mario sets and then asked about when they would get Worlds Collide as their in store inventory scanner said no nearby stores in stock. He grabbed one from the back along with the lego Bowser airship set. I had asked the Troy and Sterling Heights stores who said tomorrow for Worlds Collide, so the pack should be more widespread soon. Edit: Odd that their internal system read none in stock although they obviously had some (and per website). I'm not driving by Madison Heights store to see if they really have a lot of copies.
I just got mine from that store at like 11 o'clock and I also grab the only Slag from the Auburn Hills Target this morning!!!!

They do not. There were none on the shelf and I asked an employee who looked it up and said there were none on site. Friendly guy too. Fortunately it was barely any extra driving, I was already going to be out there anyway, so it wasn't anything special. Besides, I keep holding out hope that Circle will give me a toy coupon before I can find it. I wish I could've chosen not to apply my birthday coupon and instead use it when I wanted to, that would've been nice.
As of 4:30PM today there were still 2 Worlds Collide sets at the Madison Hgts Target. I snagged the third one for myself.
Does Target usually allow for items to be put on hold? I want to try and reach Madison Heights but I’m not 100% sure if I’ll make it today.
They will not hold overnight. Target and most stores are willing to hold for an hour, sometimes longer than that. But overnight will not happen do to the risk of 1) Item getting lost and person getting mad and 2) having no place to hold it and 3) the risk the person simply never comes. Honestly? Just go on Target.com and do an order to store. That WILL get it held
Talking to more Target employees recently and getting an idea of how things run. There is someone who works specifically in toys but is not there all the time. You can ask what time they get there to ask questions. Non-toy employees can still help you but may not have an idea of what's been coming in. Toys are often unpacked and put into "repack" boxes. This may explain why some toys are listed as "in stock" but not on the floor and not "in the back" per the inventory system. These are the large Target boxes you may see when workers restock the aisles. Employees cannot search every single repack box in the back as there may be a hundred or so. The toy specific person doesn't always stock the aisles. Other workers will grab the repack boxes and then stock the aisles. The estimated arrival dates along with stock allotment in their inventory system frequently changes and has frequent delays. Amongst these factors may explain why some people go to stores and come up empty while others get the new stock they want...even within minutes of each other at the same store. Also, Target stores are not supposed to hold items. YMMV depending on how nice the employees are at the individual store.

The Target on Bay rd in Saginaw has 2 of the origin Bumblebees they also had 4 each of the prime/grimlock and bumblebee/grimlock crash combineers. Bay City Walmart had 2 R E D Bumblebees they had 1 Coronation Starsceam, I got the Starsceam and of course it was missing the cape the box looked sealed and I took everything out of the box and no cape so looks like I'll have to wait until they get more to exchange it. Also was surprised to see AEW figures (Riho and Pac) at Target today 1st and only time seeing AEW figures in the wild.
The sterling heights target has the clunker BB and Barricade 2 pack out. they're still going through their repack boxes, though. Same with Troy store with restocking aisles. SS Thrust is up for order on target.com. T-Wrecks is apparently in some michigan stores now per target.com. Edit: Went to the Southfield store on the way to Time Travelers. I didn't see T-Wrecks although i didn't ask. Saw the BB and Stinger 2-pack and BB and Car Dropkick 2-pack. Worlds Collide is now showing up as in-stock in more stores on Target.com.
I put an order in for SS Thrust at Target.com. Wreck-Gar is not available for online ordering and is in the same Voyager case (and shortpacked). You could probably call and ask for a partial refund or gift card.
