My apologies for being negative, I'm generally the exact opposite. It Feels like I get attacked every time I say that I have enjoyed something, or my opinions toward something have changed. But it still doesn't change the fact that I shouldn't have directed all that anger towards your comment. Wants again my apologies.

Please remember that fans hate *BAD* change. We love *GOOD* change. Its not the change itself that is hated, its when things become worse after they have been changed.

It wasn't until after I had went back and reread your first post, that I realized it was me that was blind, completely in the wrong, & being hostile for no reason. Is such a minor act what classes as gay representation these days? Saying that "the pink one is kinda cute" and kissing Airazor on the cheek in direct homage to Rattrap kissing Rhinox on the cheek from the original cartoon. Straight women do comment on the appearance of other women and kiss cheeks in appreciation. And Blackarachnia is known to be the most sultry and flirtatious female Transformers character. I wouldn't call anything Blackarachnia did in Kingdom to be "gay", just Blackarachnia being Blackarachnia as she's always been.

 

I’d say they did a great job in keeping true to her character. Unlike Beast Megs

 

I am wondering what happened to skylynx after they left the dead universe did he just fly off into space a free bot lol!! Also with the time jump and everything I guess all of g1 storyline never happened!! And we now have a transformers multiverse kinda like marvel's!! Where the story goes from here is anyones guess

Thank you, I know you weren't (I'll try to be better), and you are absolutely correct about the show not following the toy line, because it really doesn't.

 

Just started watching. My god, these voices are terrible. Couldn’t they have gotten something at least a little close to the original Beast Wars voice actors? I cringed when I heard BW Megs say “yes”.

 

Sure, straight women do that in real life, but things happen in stories for a purpose. What is the purpose of Blackarachnia calling Arcee cute and kissing Airazor if not to signal to the viewer that she isn't straight? Mae Catt even said right there at the end of the thread that she wrote Blackarachnia as gay, and didn't mention the Rattrap/Rhinox thing at all. Unfortunately, I think that's all that she was allowed to include so that the show could keep enough plausible deniability that people could watch it and go "see, Blackarachnia's not gay, that's just her personality!"

Also, BW Blackarachnia didn't have such a wide romantic streak as people are remembering. She flirted with Tarantulas to get what she wanted from him until their hatred for each other came out in the open, she flirted with Silverbolt only after he started pursuing her, she flirted with TM2 Cheetor because... I actually don't know what they were going for with that one. But genuine attraction was fairly rare for her character. Even her romance with Silverbolt consisted mostly of her just tolerating him in the early days of their relationship. Kingdom Blackarachnia's dynamic with Airazor, on the other hand, seems pretty genuine. It might be the most genuine characterization in the whole trilogy.  

 

I believe she flirted with Cheetor over his new trans metal 2 looks. Which she wanted for herself. I suspect she was being in awe by it and was conveying her desire to obtain such a form.

 

I don’t even know how to respond this. The mental gymnastics it takes think a relationship built upon 5 seasons across 2 shows was all a farce, but a few lines of dialogue thrown in there by a writer just to be woke is genuine love?

I was disappointed in all this. But! I learned that Transformers Animated can be seen on Tubitv.com for free. Having never seen that before, I found it a delightful palette cleanser.
