Er, do people really want Transformers movies that much? Sure, Bumblebee was fine but that was after many Bay messes.

The only thing I'm looking forward are the toys.

Huh. I was just wondering yesterday if this would get pushed back to December. I don't think I even had a reason, I'd just seen it happen to Bumblebee and Rise of Skywalker and thought "I wonder if it'll happen with this film".

Shame. I don't care about the movie but I was excited to see the toys in early 2022 and this puts a damper on that.

This is a probably related to Snake Eyes flopping, potentially investors getting cold feet and the beer bug. But if they’re hypothetically reworking the film for financial reasons(which is par for the course) and story then they may not have as much confidence in it at the moment. It’s all conjecture at this point.

Yes, because thankfully not everyone has the same opinion, likes or dislikes.

There's some on TFW that if they had there way Everything would just be G1, so variety of media and variety of fans is a good thing.

If it's about making a quality film that isn't being rushed out, that's fine. If it's about trying to stave off poor ticket sales of an earlier release date because of the Delta and Gamma variants of Covid, I am not surprised.

I'm in the minority but I think this is great for multiple reasons 1 it gives them time to make a good movie whether it's reshoots change in script etc 2 not many movies are coming out during that month besides avatar 2 and the last reason is we get another move like bumblebee.

Ugh. One of my movie-related pet peeves is when movies that are obviously supposed to be summer adventure movies get pushed back until December/winter. I always say the worst thing about Bumblebee was the December release date...that movie was clearly supposed to be a "school's out" summer movie, with the scenes at the beach and all. This movie seems the same way. Don't release an outdoorsy adventure movie that takes place in the Peruvian jungle and features and archeologist during winter. Kind of wrecks the whole vibe.

Not one damn bit surprised. It’s crazy how both Bumblebee and ROTB were delayed to a December release because of total incompetence from Paramount and crew. This release of Snake Eyes was a major fuck up.

Bingo. I thought the exact same.

But I’m not mad it’s delayed. More time for reshoots and script rewrites. I’d rather a good film that was delayed than a rushed shitty movie.

I agree. I love G1. I love the Bay movies. I also think it’s time to completely rethink the toy line and/or movies; a brand new new take on Transformers, just like how Beast Wars and the Bay movies did.

Words to live by. Hopefully a delay, regardless of the reasons, buys them more time to work on effects or whatever can be worked on at that stage of the game.

This will now be the longest wait between movies, releasing at Bumblebee's then fourth anniversary. GG Paramount.

At this point I wouldn’t give a damn if Disney bought the property and made the damn movies. What the hell is even going on with Paramount.

They're shooting for the 2022 holiday season rush, the same way Bumblebee got put into the 2018. Which kind of makes sense from a toy selling standpoint, although ironically ROTB figures will not be available as Hasbro says those may not come until 2023.

Oh, I have no doubts they won't cancel it willingly, but from my perspective if they're still reeling from a film doing as bad as Snake Eyes, then the damage done from TLK hasn't fully healed and Paramount could finally go belly up if they can't get a solid hit on their hands to fix the hemorrhaging money going into films nobody wants to see.

Light our darkest hour...with the glow of Paramount burning to the ground under its own hubris.

I think you would be legitamately surprised at how many people agree with you. The problem isn't wanting more G1 so much as wanting something that isn't movie. Hasbro's stuck in the same holding pattern ever since TLK bombed and sadly it looks like they are too scared to try reinventing the brand again.

Disney ain't gonna be buying anything for a long time, not with the latest news about a bunch of movie stars suing them over getting shafted by Disney+.

I think this is a good thing, I rather them delay it so it can be a good film, than rush a bad one. Still cautiously optimistic though.

I don\'t think this movie can compete with both Avatar 2 and Aquaman 2 at the same time in december. Plus this is a movie Paramount is hoping to atleast make 600+ milion. And not Bumblebee movie numbers
