I honestly can’t wait. This seems so far out there that I’ll like it even if it’s bad. If this is a success, I can’t wait to see what they’ll do next. Possibly bring in Mini-Cons? Make a movie for the Wreckers? Make a pre-war film? On the topic of figures, after missing so many SS figures and not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for them on the aftermarket, I’ll try to get as much SS figures for RoTB as I can.

 

Predictions are totally fine but you made definitive statements about a film that isn't out yet and all we know are what the director says and we have no way of knowing what he hasn't told us yet and how honest he's being, since we've also been told there's characters we don't know of yet. We know of 4 Autobots, 2 Terrorcons and 3 (possibly 4) Maximals, while it's entirely possible the Terrorcons ARE going to be the main threat this time around, Michael Bay did say that Shockwave was the main antagonist of DOTM before it came out.

Different directors but it isn't out of the realm of possibility that he's doing something similar here.

I'd honestly be surprised if the Decepticons had no presence whatsoever, but hopefully if so they make up for it with the next films. I personally just feel like jumping from some random nobody Decepticons to UNICRON in two - three movies is kind of a big leap and feel Unicron is something that needs to be built up to over a few films rather than... two or three.

But then the Terrorcons could simply be his harbingers or something, I dunno it's too early to make definitive statements about who or who won't appear.

 

If Unicron shows up then they’re gonna have to explain why is he isn’t apart of earth. Even if this series is known to play fast and loose with canon, if your gonna pretend this movie is quasi part of the bay verse then Unicron existing out of the role he was from TLK, is just gonna be nonsensical.

Well, I would certainly be surprised too. If we don’t actually see them, they would probably be mentioned by name due to the fact that they are the whole reason the Autobots fled to Earth in the first place. But I personally suspect they will include the Decepticons in a flashback scene or some shit.

That’s what I was thinking. If they really are introducing Unicron (which wouldn’t even surprise me at this point) then they could just use the Terrorcons as his little slaves as a means to introduce him. And then they will continue to build him up as the big bad for a few more films and then have him as a main villain for a really big movie. Genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case.

They probably won’t even bother to explain any of it if they introduce Unicron as a separate entity from Earth and still insist it’s in the Bay continuity. They will just move along and hope no one will notice. They do whatever the fuck they want with these films no matter how shitified the continuity is.

He could show up as an avatar like in Prime? Perhaps some long-distant battle with the Primes caused his body to shut down, but his mind/spirit is still able to influence drones/avatars to do his bidding and there's some Special Macguffin that can wake him back up. That's why the Terrorcons are on Earth, to search for the special thing and/or wake him up.

Overall I don't enjoy the voice acting in the Netflix show however I thought krizz kaliko did a good performance as dinobot and wouldn't mind if he was brought on to rotb assuming dinobot is in it

 

I am honestly leery of this movie due to it having a beast centered setting/plot and not having it's own invented universe, but I do hope it bombs in theaters. New recent TF series from Hasbro haven't been exactly good
but if this movie succeeds then Hasbro will be able to make better T.V./Movies in the future.

 

I have a wild dream that in this movie, that we get some more obscure characters. Since we already have Nightbird, it does give me hope, but not that much for what I want.
I want characters like the monster bots, especially Grotusque, maybe recasted as maximals, maybe being the reason gargoyles and monster myths came about. Hasbro also seemingly has put more merch out for Banzai-tron, maybe he could be apart of the deceptions or Terror-cons, Straxus also would be cool. And maybe a pretender of some sort being recasted for this movie, maybe bludgeon for the Terror-cons , or maybe chainclaw and Snarler being a maximal and predacon. IDK, just a thought, I just want more of these guys to be brought back into the mainline, with this movie being the bridge.

My 2 possible theories about mirage's vehicle being destroyed:
1. Mirage is the character that's used to demonstrate scourge's hobby of removing insignias from those he kills, mirage defies optimus and chases someone down only to makes a wrong turn and scourge pulls an overlord

2. Perhaps this movie will create a concept about how if an alt mode is too damaged the transformer can't really reconstruct it in anyway so they scan a new vehicle, hence why they chose a worn down beetle for him as well
