I loved the scene in episode 6 with Prime and Bee.

I liked this 3rd season better than the other 2. I don’t even think I finish the 2nd one. So much forgettable content. This Optimus is such a p@$$y, and I found it interesting that the Beast Wars characters were closer to the originals than the Autobots and Decepticons.

C’mon Netflix. MOTU looks to be well funded. Why couldn’t this show?

I’m sure we’re getting one since @wreckgar39 leaked him months back.

Hasbro are the ones funding it. Netflix just has the distribution rights

I’m gonna reply the way Optimus would:

    Hasbro.
    Are.
    A.
    Bunch.
    Of.
    Cheap.
    Skates.

    **back to bellpeppers**

Seriously Hasbro- open that darn purse and pay for a little more.

What hurt MotU was Netflix did what Netflix does and split the first season in half. If the goal of the season was a DBZ style of building to his return, it got f**ked over when they split it in to two releases.

They did it with the final few seasons of Voltron, and are doing it with the newest season of PR (Dino Fury).

For whatever reason, Netflix loves to take what they consider their animated/kids programming and break up seasons in to multiple parts.

Heck, they did it with the later seasons of Fuller House, too. The only thing I can guess at is they may think it helps keep subs going by stringing the seasons along...

The piece of abdomen that is "weapon", no. lol

But at another point, in truth this series owes me a lot, it was known that they were not going to see Fuzors and Transmetals appear, but at least all the organics of the 1st season would have deigned to appear, instead of clones of Scorponok. like cannon fodder (see TF Prime Vehicons). Instead of clones I was expecting Waspinator, Shadow Panther, and the Fossilizer Predacons as soldiers who would also have served to outfit Predacones (based on the figures they revealed so far).

But seriously, the number of Predacons was very small, and worse with Dinobot and Blackarachnia deserting on different sides, leaving only Scorponok as the only ally.

Why were there numerous Scorponoks at one point with no explanation?

Aside from the voice I liked how they used BW megatron. The decepticons not following his command was interesting. Primal suggesting Megatron would eventually get rid of him and he seemed to drop hints that he would eventually turn against Megatron as a possibility. Good enough considering the short runtime.

Off topic but I think the new name they gave BW megatron in the new idw comic suits him.

I think I know the reason. Remember in earthrise we are told scorponok is a race not just the name of a bot.

Here we have a race of scorponoks to show they are a race not just one bot

After finally being able to watch Kingdom, my humble opinion is that the VAs need to stop channeling William Shatner :lol

I loved hearing Sideswipe say Sunstreaker's name, but sad because that means Sunny is one with the Allspark :cry

I liked the Maximals and Preds.
I can't believe I'm gonna say this but, I also liked this version of Arcee.

It was pretty much the main problem with the whole trilogy - the obviously cut corners. The non-union voice actors, the low episode count per season, the Transformers that never actually transform (I'm looking at you, Bumblebee), the missing characters from the toyline, the fact that there were only four Predacons; this show was done on the cheap and it showed. They completely failed to hide the fact that they didn't believe in the project enough to invest in it at all. They half-assed their way through it, figured good enough, and hoped it'd sell enough toys to make it worth it.

Yeah, and the line explaining it explicitly says he's the last one.

So even that explanation makes no sense. This is ignoring the fact that the two Scorponoks are clearly nothing alike.

Yeah the instant I saw the multiple Scorponoks I flashed back to G1 Scorpy screaming about how he was the last of them and I could only think "So that was a fucking lie."

I've watched Kingdom now and I can't honestly say if I enjoyed the 3 series or not.

On the one hand, I loved seeing a series more or less using the G1 characters and designs.

I was also surprised that by the end of Kingdom, the story across the three series was resolved far better and with a more satisfying conclusion than I could ever of hoped watching Siege and Earthrise.

I loved Galvatron, his reason for being in the story and what he was trying to do. I also loved who his partner was and thought it was a very interesting origin story for him. Makes you wonder if Galvatron is essentially Megatron and behaves as such, is there much of the mind of the original bot left and how he end up serving Unicron in the first place?

I loved the origin and reason for being there in the first place for the Maximals and Predacons.

I also thought their presence really improved Kingdom as it gave way more variery of characters and cut down massively on the re-use of molds.

I don't know much about Beastwars and I see what people are saying about BW Megatron but my take on his behaviour was that he had idolised the G1 Megatron and fashioned himself on him, even taking his name. I thought then when he came face to face with him, it was like a basketball fan wanting to br like Michael Jordan actually meeting Michael Jordan - Megatron was his "hero", if you will, so he was kind of star struck.

There was also a very impressive bodycount, including some heavy hitters, and there were some good concepts burried in there.

However, against all that, there was a lot of bad stuff that wore me down.

The voices, especially Megatron's slow delivery voice and Prime's shouty voice were painful.

Every fight Prime had against Megatron pretty much went Megatron kicks Primes butt and then someone, or something, does a last minute save. That got boring after a while.

So much that was drawn out much more than needed. Examples were I thought the fight with Scorponock went on far too long in Earthrise, same as I felt Prime trying to get into the All Spark took too long as well.

I also found the absolute uselesness of the weapons very annoying, lots of lights and noise but very little actual damage caused by them.

Fluctuating power levels when the story needed it. For instance, Megatron, with his strength and experience as a combatant in the war and his past as a champion gladiator should have wipped the floor with Dinobot.

So, I'm still not sure if I enjoyed it or not but I would be willing to go back to this story with these characters assuming the makers take some steps to address the issues there were with this show. That would allow for the likes of Rodimus Prime, Springer, Cylonus and Scourge to show up.

I just binged the entire thing. I had to take a break about 10 minutes into episode 1 though. The voice acting for Primal and BW Megs was jarring to me and I just couldn't deal with it right away. I went back and finished it, was surprised by the cohesiveness of the storyline, actually enjoyed it.

    Some thoughts:
    ● Dinobot was dinobot and if we had more episodes to build him up his sacrifice would've actually had a impact on me.
●Blackarachnia was again very much like her original counterpart except for love interests.
●Primal was more of a competent leader than Prime himself which is no surprise given the past 2 seasons.
●BW Megs was weird, didnt feel like he was very impactful other than setting up the McGuffin for 'Lord' Megatron. Also, he wasn't taken seriously by anyone including his own Predacons who were constantly trying to betray him. so how are we supposed to?
●Airazor was the highlight of the Maximals, loved that she has Repulsors Ala Iron Man.
○Rest of the BW cast was just there to look cool and give one liners.
●Bumblebee was awesome, and yet he still has never transformed lol.
●I liked the scene with the Ark, they did a good job there and he didn't overstay his welcome.
●Unicron's voice acting I thought was quite good but those are large shoes to fill.

Off Topic: Strange there's so much discussion of MOTU: Revelations; It's Mixed, it's first episode is Good, but after that it's fine, But I will watch Part 2 when it comes out, so it's fine, but my only past experience with He-Man was the Fare superior 2002 version, and Robot Chicken. The Problem is People were Told it was a He-Man Cartoon, but it's not. Favorite Parts were the First Episode and the Flash Backs; Worst parts, Not enough He-Man and Skeletor, and Teela was written badly, and too many good Characters Dyeing, If you enjoy that Character, they might Die; there going to kill Skeletor at the end aren't they. Animations Good, VA Good

On Topic: Since no ones talking about it, There was no Waspinator in Kingdom.

I honestly felt that they stuck the landing! Against all odds, the premise for season three was really clever. The Beast Wars plot was remixed in an original but reverent way, and it gelled nicely with the ongoing plot and themes of the show. This was the best season by a wide margin.

It was jarring hearing such different voices for Optimus Primal and Beast Megatron. The casting (or voice directing) was off for those two characters. But that’s really my only complaint. Overall, if this series had been dubbed with veteran voice actors I think it would have been really special. As it stands, though, it’s still way better than most will ever give it credit for being.

I watched it last night, and I have to say I enjoyed this last season. Some voice issues aside, I liked what they did with the story. It all felt very "Marvel G1" if that makes sense.
