Just thinking that it's going to be Christmas for Impact soon if WWE carry on releasing good upper Midcard and lower Main Event guys, AEW can't take them all and they are in bad need of guys at that level that aren't being borrowed from somewhere else. Opening the wallet wide to get Bray for a year and letting him go bananas like they did with Matt Hardy would be a good start.

That's cool that he was nice to you. I've read many articles where fans meet wrestlers in random places and the wrestlers are assholes to them.

that “smaller Midwest” promotion is NEW.
    North. East. Wrestling.

They do shows mostly in NY, PA, NJ, and MA with a few Midwest shows. Their “home arena” is in mass.

That same promotion had a card in 2016 @Poighkeepsie NY with then NJPW Champion (brought the belt) Kenny Omega vs Fenix and Darby Allin vs Pentagon which was amazing. I’ve been to a lot of PPVs for wwe and NxT but nothing has matched Omega/Fenix from that show

"Budget cuts" yet useless and worthless ones like Eva Marie and Sonya Deville have jobs.

Which is why competent leadership (Tony Khan) is needed to run WWE

tony is making better business moves than vince. wwe is the new wcw, just a skeleton now of what was. the talent had been let go of and/or moved to greener pastures.

tony has no need for owning wwe other than to have the name copyright and buyout of 90 day release clauses so I guess it depends how important that stuff is to him.

if not he will just continue doing what hes doing and let wwe lay in the grave vince dug for it.

and wyatt will land in AEW. thats like giving a case of free millions to someone and them saying no no no we are good. even if he never even steps in a mat again you need him there creatively.

Anybody who had an entrance with the lights out could pull off the cell phone trick. Creative did mess him up undoubtedly but he was boring.

This is the part that baffles me. Releasing someone due to “budget cuts” when he’s one of the top merch sellers is VERY uncharacteristic of WWE. I’ve seen it happen because of Wellness Policy violations or other circumstances (e.g. Jeff Hardy) but never just to save a few bucks they don’t really need to save.

Obviously I’m just a random schlub on the internet, but it seems they should be concentrating more on improving the writing and storytelling rather than shuffling on-air talent.

It’s only hearsay, but I read an article saying Bray had been struggling with his mental health which is why he’s had an extended lay off.

However I will counteract that by saying, in my opinion…. Of course his mental health may have suffered when he’s worked his ass off to get his gimmicks over, succeeded… must have felt he was going to ascend to the very top of the mountain only then for his employers to pull the rug out on multiple occasions.

He will be a major player and asset wherever he ends up. I think WWE is dying a slow death, this is a new war but becoming increasingly one sided.

It’s like WCW letting Benoit, Eddie and Jericho go, while trying to push David Arquette and Vince Russo.

Bray, Strowman, Bryan, Punk moving back in but not to WWE, Christian, Mickie James…..

But will re-sign the calibre of Evpe Marie, and keep a load of no names… Bringing Cena back like they did with Hogan in 93 over people like Bret and Taker. The ‘universe’ doesn’t care anymore.

If they are fully committed to increasing profit margins for a big corporate sale then i'd expect the roster within a couple of years to be like 10 people that Vince likes or won't want anyone else to have, a few cheaper old midcard guys and a whole bunch of interchangeable performance centre people.

Lee, Cole, Nakamura, Devitt and Roode all need to get the fuck out of there at the first possible opportunity if the don't get cut before their current contracts run out.

I only really ever go to their shows, but they offer in demand PPVs online. Don’t remember the site, but I paid for a download of that omega match back on the day
