I didn't compare with the cgi model. Is he this inaccurate?

 

He's a full figure but I say 3/4 because he took a bit hit in accuracy due to needing to be a combiner for Optimus. I said it since the very start but I still would have preferred if they just did 3 separate figures. Jetfire, Optimus and Jetfire Optimus.

I'm still amazed at what they were able to acomplish but I just look at Jetfire and it kind of makes me sad that he was sacrificed a bit in order to be a combiner asset.

This custom figure is the kind of treatment I wanted Jetfire to have (minus the less accurate face).

 

They all look fantastic! It's too expensive for me to get Jetfire as well as Optimus, but I can get Optimus by himself. I'm glad they toned down the weathering as others have said.

 

I can definitely understand the sentiment, but I think it's really cool that they managed to incorporate an element of transformation into these figures. I wouldn't have ordered them otherwise.

 

Does anybody know how movie accurate is base Prime specifically? I know that Jet Prime needs minor tweaks and Jetfire is abit rough.

 

I would have MUCH preferred to buy 3 figures instead of 4 figures to display one of each. They sacrificed too much on Jetfire for a combination gimmick that is purely a cash grab. Jet power Prime should have been a separate figure. Especially if there is going to be left over Jetfire parts...

 

Optimus is fine. He's not perfect either but it's not really stuff you would notice unless if you really nitpicked it side by side. Overall he's a lot skinnier and lanky in the movie. He has super thin legs and arms.

For the figure they kind of bulked him up, which I actually like. They most likely did it so that the limps don't snap while being articulated and are also able to hold the weight of the Jetfire Prime parts when combined.

His head can be bigger as well.

 

They still need to apply the chrome paint and maybe a bit of fine details here and there. The feet are still larger than they should be (the front part).

The head does look abit small, really hope they tweak that. But atleast the size head isn't near as bad as MPM4's head proportions, his was tiny.

 

I think I'm gonna wait for the DOTM Optimus. I think this one is meant to combine. I prefer the sexy abs over the granpa Jetfire.

Damn if they are going to make more Baybots at this scale I really hope they make Starscream and Blackout asap (or any other movie 1 Cons cast. Rotf Soundwave and dotm Shockwave would be cool too)

 

For tax, it depends on your state. FL used to not have online tax.

For shipping, Sideshow is just kinda ridiculous at $24ish per figure. Most places offer free shipping at over $150. That said, Sideshow rewards offset that cost. My DLX TLK Bee is free, whenever it comes out.

 

Is it my impression or his feet are a bit too long compared to the cgi model? That thing between the toes should be shorter so the toes surpass it? I know it's a dumb detail, I was just looking to my MPM, cgi model and 3A photo and thought it

 

The proportions seem to be based on the previous Premium Scale Prime is what I have been thinking.

 

I've never picked up a Threezero piece before but have this and Jetfire pre-ordered, does Threezero normally hit initial release dates or are they usually delayed (Covid-related issues aside and under normal circumstances)?

 

The premium line has had big delays but I would say the DLX line has been fairly close to hitting the target release date with in a month or two.
