Is this... is this really a Star Wars topic?!

Anyway, VERY hyped for this. A lot of my favorite animation houses are working on this and I do like that there Space Conflict franchise. I don't care if any of these become canon or not, I'm just looking for some glorious animation and fresh story telling in some version of a galaxy far, far away. Don't get me wrong, I've liked most of what's come out lately (Rebels, Bad Batch, Mando, Solo, Rogue One, Eps 7 and 8), but I know we're going to see stuff we'd never get from Filoni or any mainstream Western creative team.

It certainly looks interesting. I'm not a big anime fan, but I would check it out.

Disney looking out for studio trigger. Doesn't that signal a red flag already.

Elaborate in more detail. Are you talking buyouts, crunch time overworking animators, executives doing shady things, what?

Buyout from Disney, if that happens then all animation studios from Japan are slagged

Okay... and where are you getting the idea that Trigger is for sale? Or that Disney is looking to buy? Why Trigger and not one of the other 6 or 7 studios making Star Wars shorts for Visions? Trigger is doing FINE financially and while they have had issues in the past(they settled a lawsuit last year for unpaid overtime), there's nothing to indicate they're looking for a buyout. What you're fearing is baseless.

Disney is the unicron equivalent of corporations and what I fear is that they are "flirting" with trigger so that when the time has come they will proceed to devour trigger i just don't want to imagine how are they going to mangle trigger and any other studio.

Won't happen. After Disney mishandling the Studio Ghibli movies and failing to buy the studio outright (and even before for MANY reasons. Anime studios do some fucked up things, but pale compared to what Disney has done in volume and severity), most anime studios would NEVER want to be under the thumb of the mouse.

You're making Visions out to be some kind of competition to see who is "worthy" of being owned by Disney. Would you say the same thing of the studios who did shorts for the Ani-Matrix? Was Warner Bros. headhunting for anime studios then? Visions is the same thing.

Well they certainly have enough lightsaber gimmicks.

Let's hope there's some substance to all this style.
