The lower arms and shoulder pieces I get, to an extent, but what's wrong with his thighs that they warrant replacing?

And I mean, this isn't the first time either. Their MPM Ironhide kit really saves that figure IMO

 

Same thing happened to the initial leaker who said the figure was shit and the shoulders could barely move. Glad you have it figured out now, as he looks quite dynamic in your poses!

 

To be fair, that first bit is opinion based, so not like they were right or wrong there. But yeah shoulders seem more articulated than leakers said they were.

 

At first i was planning to get this figure in target through a relative living in the country, since 130$ it's a pretty nice deal and i want to support Kunihiro's design, but at this point i should be looking for the others (such as starscream or ratchet) while waiting for a knock off with the kits already included. Oh well.

 

I’d say the figure is good overall, but there are so many small issues with it that take away from it. I’m assuming the original designer was under budgetary and time constraints considering this guy will only be $5 more MSRP than Ratchet. Ngl tho, I was expecting them to put more budget and focus on this MPM than any of the previous ones since it’s a design that resonates with G1 fans more. The latest Bay MPM’s have been stellar tho, so hopefully the next MPM’s keep that trend

Preordered that new SS Movie 1 Ratchet because that paint is pure bliss. I hope if a SS ROTF and SS AOE mold gets released they improve that backpack. Maybe something like the original DOTM Deluxe Ratchet.

I like both figures I head cannon BB Starscream is a new body built by Shockwave after near fatal battle wounds.

Some people don’t like the jet but it’s so big, unique, and swooshable it’s honestly one of my favorite SS alt modes

 

I agree that the thighs on MPM12 are fine, but if I had to guess, the new thighs will have new panels that will take care of the gaps MPM12 has in alt mode.

He was never an option for me because of the paint and arms. I just sold my M09 for $150 shipped, so I'm just gonna sit here and wait for the KO.

To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised to see how good Hasbro had actually done with MPM12, aside from the arms, and the hideous paint, so I do think that MPM12 is mostly a good figure, but it could've been been better!!

Kinda wondering what the next MPM’s are since the last MPM to wow me was Starscream. Ratchet and prime have been pretty meh to me and sorta remind me of mainline figures. Just too much compromises and kibble. Maybe a bonecrusher? Plz...

 

Agreed, MPM 12 does a lot right and imo it’s probably one of the best painted MPM’s yet (aside from the truck stripe), but I wish it was more complex. Jazz and Ratchet probably have more steps in their conversion than MPM 12 unfortunately

I believe sources have said Blackout is in the clear to be made. Hopefully we get a Brawl and Bonecrusher as well. I really hope that if/when we move on to ROTF figures, one of the first ones we get is Sideswipe

Opinion based on a mistransformed figure, is my point. Of COURSE you’re gonna think something sucks if it’s not fully transformed but you think that’s the final product.

 

I felt the same way about the jet mode until I got him in hand, and you're dead right. He's sooooo swooshable. This might actually be the first time I collect all the seekers in a line!
