SS-01 would’ve been better, really. Or Car Dropkick. Especially since all of them are the same blocky 60s/70s muscle cars. If it weren’t for the wheel shoulders Dropkick would be a perfect template for HO Bee.

I’m probably not even gonna get the inevitable SS Crosshairs (if he turns out to be a new mold) knowing Hasbro likely wouldn’t get his scale right. The old Crosshairs mold did him just right enough for me.

Most of the joints are great on this one but the ankles on mine were very loose when I first got it out of the box. Like, probably just as if not loose than the regular Hasbro version. That, and the left elbow was also pretty weak. I used a couple of coats of floor polish and now he's great and super stable, but out of the box he did have trouble standing normally. I know the ankles can tab in but I like their range of motion so I love the original KO's ankles for being tight. There was also something with his hips that I noticed, on the Original and the first KO, the ratchet at the outward hip ratchets were perfect. These hips are just as stiff and feel great, but I think the notches in ratchets for the hips on mine are a bit too small because there's a bit of movement between each ratchet. I disliked this since it causes his legs to be more spread out than they should. I decided to just take out the ratchets completely, add a bit of super glue and turn it into a friction joint. This worked out better than I expected since the friction joint I made is quite tight, and doesn't have that in-between ratchet movement from before, so now he can stand completely as expected. I might've just gotten unlucky tho since in the KO Screamer thread there weren't too many reports of the ankles or arms being this loose, or the whole hip joint issue, so it could be a case of your mileage may vary. I will say, every other joint feels extremely good like the original, in fact, the forward and backward hip ratchets on mine are even better here than the first KO, and this is my first version of the mold where the left part of his chest doesn't detach when handling his left arm. Luckily, nothing was too hard to fix and now he's pretty great overall, I wasn't expecting to triple dip on the mold but damn these colors were just wayy too striking, the original was great but visually, this might be a step beyond that. But in the case you prefer a figure that's more solid than visually appealing, the original KO, in my experience, has better joints overall.

I shall once again oblige you:

Scorn absolutely compares favorably with Grimlock in terms of sculpted detail, but definitely not in terms of coloration or scale.

I just wanted a properly scaled High Octane Bumblebee so if Hasbro won’t do it I guess 3P might have something

I’m curious how the SS Crosshairs will look because while he scales nicely in robot mode his Corvette mode is too big so they’d essentially have to scale down the vehicle mode while keeping the robot mode generally the same

    These two arrived earlier:
    SS ROTF Sideswipe, and
    SS ROTF Grindor

    20210730_120153.jpg

Grindor is fine, the new hands are great and the color choice of dark gray in his parts works better compared to Blackout. My main issue with this release is the altmode, the panels won't stay together in some places, especially the ones between the rotor blades and the cockpit.

Sideswipe is definitely a factory leak, it came from Vietnam and it didn't have its packaging. The paint is great, although I've noticed a few scuffs in some places. The joints are meh, so inconsistent, the blades are so loose they don't fit the leg slots, a heel is floppy, and one hand is also loose. The bad resistances of the figure may be due to the fact that this is still an early copy.

    With his blades:

I feel the same way with BBTS. But it's mostly because they always charge me customs. ALWAYS!

Same but beware that Hasbro has been less consistent on alt-mode scale than they are with robot mode scale. SLS Soundwave is literally as big as his DOTM Deluxe in vehicle mode which was (IIRC) 1:32.

TLK Crosshairs is in desperate need of a repaint. I sold mine because I couldn't stand how awfully bland he was even with customs.

What a shame his backpack looks terribly messy. I really like his alt-mode though (despite not having headlights for some reason).

I think he;s pretty good if you ignore how limited his shoulders are, if you wanna use them outside of a few degrees. you need to fully disconnect the backpack, Impressed that the fingers on the inside his hands pointing towards his torso are on 5mm pegs creating an area for his whips to plug into, his fingers plug into the same ports the whips do in vehicle mode, so you wont lose them if thats what youre worried about
and on about the review on this site...I dont know. Im staff on allspark. is that even proper? it feels so wrong. like i am doing something bad

Grindor totally sounds like the name of a MOTU character

To be fair, it's not BBTS that's charging you import tax, it's the Import and Customs Service branch of the government of wherever you're living

They should give 50% of figures the SS-05-32 treatment.
