Enjoying these immensely although some are not without flaws. I'll throw in more pics of other modes as and when, the thread already has great shots of them.

Bumblebee is just an unpainted Hubcab with a different head. Bit of a shame really, I've enjoyed the fully painted car bodies on these and they could've thrown on some racing stripes at least. Anyway, you know what you're getting here.



Blackarachnia though, where to begin.. let's just start with tremendous and finish with batshit crazy. I love that they've gone all out on homaging her original Beast Wars box art with the head and deco. It's on the right side of silly and that metallic blue dry brush is gorgeous.



Primal I wasn't expecting much from having seen those initial pics, but in hand he sings in this deco. Proper attitude.



New mouthpiece looks suitably menacing as well. A great colour scheme on a great toy. That silver paint on the thighs seems more durable as well.



And of course, Fangry. He had some floppy knees out of the box that have been remedied with floor polish but this is a decent toy and my first experience with the mold. He looks great. The character in that wolf headsculpt goes a long way and glad they articulated the jaw. For me, this is the only mode you want him in anyway.

 

Fangry: Hips and knees of the robot mode are too loose, but it looks okay. Beasty bits look goofy in a fun way. Decent, but needs work as the TR mold base is starting to wear out.

Cougar Crystal Widow: If Blackarachnia was voiced by Katey Segal as Peg Bundy. Colors skirt the line between 'so bad its good' and "yikes!", but you can see the effort put into it. Build quality is about the same as Kingdom BA.

Grr-rrape Ape: Sort of a mashup of colors between RiD Scourge/Nemesis Prime and Skywarp. Seems like something that shouldn't work, but kinda does. the new faceplate robot head with the narrowed eyes is a nice touch. Joints aren't loose, but feel a bit different to Kingdom Primal, especially the shoulders.

Boringbee: Here comes not-Hubcap, not-Yellow-Cliffjumper, not-Bumblejumper! Could stand to jazz up the plain yellow deco a bit, like maybe some black stripes to homage Movie/RID15/Animated 'Bee, or white stripes to homage the '06 Classics toy.

Requesting a pic of Nemesis Primal with Scorponok's cyberbee if anyone has both. I know it doesn't attach to his chest but I'm curious to see how well the gray and purple match.

 

It's depressing how loose Fangry is. I mean, it's fixable, but annoying.

 

NGL seeing the mold degradation on fangry has kind of killed my interest. I was only ever interested in him and Bee but honestly after seeing Origins Bee I feel like that's the better of the two imo. I don't want to have to deal with reselling all the other figures as well as having to fix Fangry so it's a pass for me right now.

 

The only thing I dislike about the Fangry toy is that there are no bars showing his speed, strength and intelligence - making the labels pointless and confusing without context. I like that it was referenced, but they didn't fully commit so it comes across as being half-assed.

 

Got my set today and heres what I think of them

Nemesis Primal






Nemesis Primal I wasnt really interested in at first but having him in hand he grew on me, I like his color scheme and his overall look, I would probably portray him as a Herald of Unicron or one of Megatrons crazy experiments. His beast mode looks really intimidating despite him being a purple gorilla.


Fangry




Fangry was the main reason I bought this set, I know little of the character but I love me a Decepticon beast former. His Flying werewolf mode makes me think this is more of a rage mode than an alt form. Hopefully we get horribull and Squeezeplay too.

Bumblebee



Bumblebee is okay, but I'm not very excited to have a repainted cliffjumper, I'll just call him bumblejumper and pretend hes bumblebees look alike cousin for the laughs

Blackarachnia



The biggest surprise for me is Blackarachnia here, shes really good in her wacky toy colors with the purple and leopard printed boobs. I was also happy to see they fixed the tab of doom which makes me tempted to go pick up another blackarachnia sometime.

Overall this set is really cool, I'm glad I did get this box of craziness when I saw it, even though I mainly wanted Fangry I'm open to having other characters in my collection too.

 

I'm going to swap the spider legs between Black Arachnias with such a quickness....

 

So with fangry I can't help but Wonder if perhaps Hasbro is getting ready to do a re-release of the monsterbots. The fact that we had such a hard time getting the three, and that Walmart is doing a lot of the Titan return reuse, makes me think that we could end up seeing these three released by a Walmart in the future. That fangry is testing the waters to see if there's enough demand for them to do the three original monster bots that use this mold

 

One of the regular leakers confirmed in the ‘Post-WFC Toy Speculation’ thread in the Toy Forum that the Monsterbots are indeed planned to be released in a future WalMart Retro Wave, alongside the three Decepticon Targetmasters & the two Autobot Jumpstarters (I’d assume they’ll all form Waves 3 & 4 whenever they’re released)

 

Awesome. I only got Twinferno/Doublecross and ended up selling him because I knew it would be hard and costly to get all three. But I do love me teams of bots so it would be fun to have those in a cheaper/easier way.

 

I've been enjoying putting Nemesis Primal in MUNKY mode with the robot mode internal weaponry deployed - just an angry purple ape bristling with guns, like an organic ZOIDS toy.

 

Nemesis Monkey is a surprisingly fun figure. I'm apparently a fan of the grape ape.

Fangry is excellent. The legs on mine are slightly loose but doesn't seem to be as bad as others' copies are.

Wrong Bumblebee is just that; he's a wrong Bumblebee. Meh. To the sales thread with you!

Whack Arachnia is fucking weird and will be joining Wronglebee in the sales thread after I steal her spider legs and swap with Real Blackarachnia.

 

As a whole set I definitely love this. Only figure I'm iffy on is Bumblebee. Already have a Netflix Bee anyways. If Toyhax does a racing stripe decal set for him then he is a keeper.

Primal, Fangry, and BA are exactly what I expected...great figures. Primal in Nemesis colors is especially amazing to me.

 

Came to this thread to see if anyone else had loose knees on Fangry, and it seems everyone does from what I'm observing. He's decent, but the knees were a disappointment. Beast mode is pretty solid though. I like that the Titan Master's head is actually painted too. Still glad to add him to my Titan Returns monster roster, and I still need Grotusque.

I'm kind of meh on the Nemesis Primal. The paint apps are applied well enough, but it just feels too similar to regular Primal with an unfortunate slight bootleg deco feel. I completely agree with a previous poster that this should have been an albino ape. THAT would have popped. As is, it's kind of boring. Thinking on it further, we really do need an albino ape redeco in the Beast Wars line-up. That could easily be a brand new character.

I bought the set just for Fangry and planned to ebay off the rest to offset the cost, but now seeing that Black Arachnia has a ridiculous leopard bikini, I might have to keep her. BA seems to have hit where Nemesis Primal failed. This looks and feels like a new character rather than a slight repaint of an existing one. Ironic that it's still named BA.

Not sure I care to hold onto Bumblejumper in hopes for a new 3rd party upgrade head kit or not. This isn't one of those molds that excites you enough to get every single character variation. I guess if you missed out on Netflix Bee this would work. Out of the set though, this figure is the odd man. The whole set is beast themed except for Bee here, unless they were counting the name.

Eh, ok set. Expensive way to buy a Fangry though.

 

Picked up a set at Target this morning, fun set.

Fangry is the highlight for me. Hope to see bodies for Horri-Bull and Squeezeplay soon

Toy deco Blackarachnia is the toy I didn't know I wanted until I got her. I'll have her hanging out with the Botcon Waspinator repaints.

 

Not really seeing the loose joint issues with Fangry here. It's not tight either but nothing I would consider out of the ordinary or annoying.

I am annoyed that Fangry doesn't have a blaster or any sort of accessory. Posted in another thread but using the Perfect Effect PC-07 Long Haul blaster on him for now, which sorta resembles his G1 blaster.

The Allspark is a waste of space. Too small and odd they chose the rubbery plastic for it. The Shockwave Lab Allspark is well done in comparison.

 

My right leg Fangry has the janky leg, but I can deal.

Bumblebee is useless to me.

Cannibalized Nemesis Primal's silver feet and Blackarachnia's orange spider legs.

So glad I got this set out of the way.....

 

Man, I LOVE that Blackarachnia deco. Primal is kinda cool, mostly the faceplate that sells it. Don't care about the other two at all.

If the mold wear on Fangry is anything to go by, I hope they don’t bother. It would be a shame to get nice deco upgrades on all of those great figures, only to have them next to useless on the shelf due to mold issues.
