As a fan of both g1 and bw there were some aspects that left me with a blank stare lol. Overall it was good. I particularly liked the team up with starscream and black arachnia.

 

It was also hilarious hearing the Maximals get annoyed and start calling the Bots and Cons by their alt modes. I’m just paraphrasing here but my favorite quotes are:

“What’s wrong with the truck?” Rattrap to Primal.
“You mean the cassette deck?” Airrazor, I think.

Cheetor letting the Autobot cars eat his dust was funny too. And the Autobots getting hindered by hilly, not smooth, terrain also gave me a laugh.

 

Ummm, not cool. Especially after my reason for wanting to know what happens to him in this series.

This is, objectively speaking, the greatest work of Transformers fiction in the history of the brand.

 

Well, they certainly threw a lot of shit at the wall with this one. I enjoyed it more than Earthrise… I think? Or maybe Earthrise was so terrible it just lowered my expectations.

Anyway, a terrible hodge podge of concepts and ideas, full of awful clichés. Combining G1 and BW did not work for me. But to be honest, I’m sick of seeing the same old stories recycled and I’m not sure it’s possible to tell a fresh and well executed Transformers story without a major change.

 

That was way better than I thought it would be.

let me start with the positives:

optimus isn’t as stupid as he was in ER
Megatron and starscream were good as usual
Dinobot and his death were handled way better than I thought it would be
Blackairachnia was cool
The last 3 episodes were legitimately great IMO
Everything with nemesis prime and galvatron were great
The fight scenes were cool
Primal and his voice actor were a lot better than I thought they would be
Air razor was cool
I really like the idea that the maximals and predacons came from a destroyed cybertron.
And
The ending was awesome

the negative

BW megatron was awful
Optimus prime was an asshole
Tigatron’s voice didn’t fit him at all
The first 3 episodes were mediocre
My boy tigatron didn’t have much to do
Neither did cheetor
The humor didn’t really land
Some of the voice acting wasn’t great

I’m a bit confused by the ending though.

Let's get this out of the way: This might be the worst version of Beast Wars Megatron ever. From the voice, personality and even look, you couldn't get the character more wrong than this. I understand every creator has the right to come up with a new interpretation of a character (and in fact this can work for the better at times) but seriously, couldn't you at the very least get the very basics from the character and then go on from that? I thought that the Latin American dub would make this a little better but nope! Unfortunately they follow the original North American release too close. Scorponok Megatron might be the biggest betrayal of a premise I have seen recently.

Aside from that, this wasn't that bad. I mean, Primal, Cheetor and Tigatron are meh. However, Dinobot, Blackarachnia and fortunately Airazor are great, it actually seems that the staff realized the missed potential from the original Beast Wars show and created a fun dynamic between Blackarachnia and Airazor

Nemesis Prime being the counterpart of Galvatron as one of Unicron's heralds is a fine idea. Plot was whatever but at the very least is better than in Earthrise.

Overall, I would say that Siege was probably the most consistent of all the seasons with Kingdom following it because of the fun character work and Earthrise in third because of its flaws. Not the best Transformers series obviously but not necessarily terrible as a whole.

when Dinobots ghost finally went to the allspark and primal regretted what he said about him not being a good maximal and primal says “Go Maxamize” that was just perfect, also the anime Dinobot slash he did to megatron, where it had the little line Bc they were tryna show how fast Dinobot was, needed more stuff like that

Yeah no, my gay friends absolutely throw the best parties and add color to life. Don’t give two shits about which orientation a robot is other than it has an orientation to begin with. Transformers are not sexual beings so don’t try to hint at it now just because it’s fashionable at this particular time in human history.

I never saw any Transformers dating because once the movie killed all of my favorite characters I simply stopped watching or consuming any of the media. If I watched Prime have a fling in the 80’s I would have said the same thing. Sorry the word lesbian triggered you.
