My A set from Bababobo has been on a departed flight for 11 days.

 

Whoa. Props to NA - on their Weibo they posted that they heard the customers for set B and will be shipping swappable filler replacement parts for free for people that already purchased.

 

Seriously… I don’t even understand how he’s standing.

 

I watched the video... Boy, can't believe these are NA figures.. NA dropped the ball on these 2. Hollowness, simple design of both bot and alt modes and they just don't look good to me (design and aesthetically wise, apart from the purple paint).
And now, NA themselves released a statement they basically screwed up and are handing out replacement parts for free, to correct some of the problems in the legs... So they knew something wasn't right design wise and basically waited for enough negative feedback to hand out these 'upgrades'... (NA had these correction parts ready to go I'm guessing, how else would they be able to ship these to all of their customers so fast).
To me, these are signs they're having some kind of trouble managing the pressure of competition.

Hopefully for everyone who has invested in the complete NA Devy, set C won't be taking the same route.

 

At least Scrapper has his roof now.  

 

If they had these parts ready to go, then they could have just put them on the figures to begin with and avoided the negative feedback.

 

You're right, that was me being flabbergasted after seeing that video (and having a stupidly busy day at the restaurant), but you're right NA probably didn't have those parts ready to go.

 

The hollow feet are a bit disappointing but if they are solid in Devastator mode I’m cool. Once I get a complete set they are staying as Devastator.

The hollow feet are still an issue for others who are buying multiple sets to show off all modes.

 

Yeap, after yesterday stream of Devy set B on weibo, NA weibo page is flooded with negative the comments to pressure them to come out a new design replacement parts for the hollow feet. Glad we getting new replacement parts.

 

The plastic feels more like dx9 type than new age. Maybe they wanted to avoid breakages from combiner wear hence the less hard plastic, or possibly production saving...
They should try do a new design of leg, like megs crotch, heaven knows they are making enough mula...

That's so nice to know. I knew that they had to release early prototypes to match MS speed, and those hollow feet are quite bad, especially Mixmaster.

I do hope NA future releases wil also avoid those hollow arms, which occasionally still happens. That's my only complain for their set A. It's sad to transform them and see that it's definitely fixable by making hands just a half mm smaller to have room for the arm covers.

 

They mentioned that those were early developments, which probably means they designed it 1 or 2 years ago, didn't satisfy with them and was thinking about how to fix.
These are kind of a rush production after seeing MS showing their prototype, and they had to use some bad old designs.
That's probably why they have the solution but will ship later.

So competition somehow turns bad in this case, when companies are forced to release some bad designs, or just acceptable. MS probably also rushed with their floppy Seekers. Some of their stunticons are also not good, but they might be tired of redesigning again and again and finally chose an acceptable design to release before NA could finished theirs.

At least NA takes responsibility for this, which is a bonus for people who collect the set.

 

This is just completely unfounded conjecture.

Let’s not forget that NA also released replacement parts for their Megatron - and that was absolutely nothing to do with them ‘rushing’ a release, and everything to do with them being perfectionists who hate seeing flaws in their own products.

 

idk, doesn't sound like fillers to me, from their wording it sounds like you can swap the entire legs for new, better ones, kinda like with their Megatron

 

My Set A from ShowZ has been in California for over a week now, still waiting on it to actually get to me. Been dragging my feet on paying for Set B for a while, was hoping to have the first set in hand first.

 

Yeap is confirm a whole new design and is not a filler according to one of the user comment on NA weibo.

 

Oof. Didn’t realize the heels were on sliders and stressed the plastic quite a bit. Just a bit of caution to those who jump in to transformations blind like me.
