Oh, that's easy, all the stores are currently starting their toy resets, so it's about purging all of the spots to fit the upcoming planogram. Either the store incorrectly thinks it still has stock, it DOES but some asshole hid it very well (maybe even intentionally for this exact reason), or the department's throwing blanket discounts on any spot that's not remaining.

Same. I don't think the ones on the left are too bad, but I tasked a friend who lives in the US to find one for me because this is one instance where I don't want to be at the mercy of random variants trying to buy this stuff online.
