A lot of the Ultimates figures look like they don't have any articulation at this stage. I'm hoping Wheelie is an example of that and the final figure can balance out how a dino-mode Grimlock won't be that articulated in the first place.

Seemed like he was still fairly popular based on his appearances in IDW. He also had a toy loosely based on the IDW design back during RotF. It's actually a really nice figure if you don't mind the mix of traditional and film aesthetics or the redesign into the Pretender shell being his actual robot mode.

If it doesn't tranform then it isn't a Transformer, at least from my point of view. These honestly don't look any better than most of the upper tier bots that do transform. I bought a Magic Square Megatron for what these cost and it turns into a gun and looks just as good if not better. Not for me

They are characters from Transformers. Transformers has long since been a brand name for the series and not just a descriptor of what the toys can do; even though it started out as a descriptor back in 1984.

Plus its a third party producing toys on Hasbro's behalf. Super7 don't make transforming toys; they're not even that well articulated. But Transformers is too big of a property for them to ignore on arbitrarily reasons that they would not be transformable.

That's exactly what I was thinking about S7 Megatron! The size, look, and scale will go perfectly with my Generations G1 Shelf! I just don't get why Hasbro couldn't do this...SMH!

    Yes please, and thank you!!!

I know that, thus why I said it's my view. I don't like static bots. It's why Transformers aren't just cool but also special even among action figure brands.

Pre-ordered Bludgeon. No way I'm passing that one up.
Also have Banzaitron on pre-order, so they'll pair nicely.

Considering Megatron, but not positive yet. Depends on how articulated these are.

I really thought I'd hate these, but I don't. And now I'm considering preordering them AND wave 1. Crap.

These Ultimates keep surprising the heck out of me with their character choices and I love it. Can't wait to see them do someone like Rad or Jackpot, how great would that be?

Same! But after that failure of a R.E.D. Line, I'm actually very thankful for this line, and can now fully appreciate all the things that it's doing right! just Preordered both Wave 1&2.

Man, if that Bludgeon\'s tank part comes off and interacts with the G1 version, that might be a cheaper alternative than finding the G1 cannon (that little purple turret is the only bit I still need... grr).

I hate non-transforming figures, but that Grimlock looks pretty good.

Out of all these, I like Bludgeon the best.  I was wondering when they were going to post pictures of this wave.

I still want to see wave 1 in hand to see how the final will look. Especially that Optimus ... will he have clear chest windows?

Just how premium will these feel in hand compared to a R.E.D. figure?
