Hm. I do have a pro membership. I might give it a shot but I know there is no guarantee I will get one this year. However, I will buy some PS5 games to plan ahead. Something I've been doing since gen 6.

 

I did the same I got my console through GameStop but before the pro membership thing.

 

The other day @ my local Target I guess they had some instock BUT I believe they were all accounted for already as I'd didn't see any in the electronics/PS5 section. I recall seeing an employee walk out with a PS5 inside a brown box with like 3 security/lost preventions guys to a curbside pick up.

Really crazy to me to think it's possible to get robbed the minute you walk outside with a Ps5.

 

Best thing to do is keep an eye on restock alerts from twitter, telegraph, etc. Sooner or later you'll get one.

Picked up Watch Dog Legion from GameStop for $13 so far i like it.

 

I like watch dogs as well, gameplay is fun.

 

i got my best hacker injured and then arrested by using him on the wrong missions. lol but game play is fun.

PS5’s Storage Expansion Update Is More Complicated Than It Needs To Be

So far it's for beta users atm. But also there's a few pre-requisites you'll need too.

 

Still, great news to see that M.2 expansion is on the horizon!

 

I’m currently running beta and a Western Digital Black 500 GB M.2 SSD. It’s currently going well. I don’t have a heat sink on it yet but I’m not getting any interferences due to it just yet.

Edit: Still didn’t have issues with no heatsink but I did buy one to not break anything.

 

DLC is only $19.99 right now and i had a gift card so now i have it.

Don't the WD Blacks come with a heat sink? Or are there two versions - one with a heatsink and one without?

 

There are two versions.

 

Hmm 1 TB with heat sink is about $145ish that sounds do-able. I have a 256 GB SanDisk flash drive that i've been putting my PS4 games on and i don't play many games at one time so a extra TB would probably work perfect for me. Installation looks super easy and i do want to change my face plates eventually....
