I dislike Megatron's more but I like him more. But I agree on Dinobot.

Welp, this may be being skewed by a sense of sheer relief that it's over (though it never ends) but the last chapter did indeed seem to be the best (with a very low bar to clear, and at x1.25 speed so everyone bar Prime & Megs still spoke at regular speech speed), in fact there were certain bits I enjoyed up until...

...finding out at the climactic episode that the end of Earthrise/Chapter Two was, in fact, "Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies" for the Cybertronian cast, and that "Cliffhanger" explosion was literally the entire Homeworld cast being annihilated!?! PRIMUS, Roster Teeth, you utter psychos!!!
I shouldn't have been surprised as I was, of course Rooster Teeth would fumble an open ending with a note of hope by dropping such a huge downer during it.

Also "Elita-1 is a core focus of the Trilogy" said DeSantos, oh, yeah? I guess that's why they only fridged her at the end of Earthrise,eh? Ugh Ugh Ugh!

Also can someone explain to me exactly why the actual F*** sudden, instant statues of Refraktor & Cog back-to-back are "a fitting tribute"?
At a push Cog actually did something, and heroic (but also rather slapstick) to boot in Earthrise but just from an Autobot perspective - WTF did any Refraktor-type do besides be cannon fodder?

I fear what the results of the Netflix profile boos of this trilogy will do is get more money for the RT crew to keep being terrible at transformers tie-in media

I think I'm gonna try to just move on from here because the more I consider the show the more I realise what other frankly terrible stuff went down.

 

So Kingdom never ever reveals what happened to Deeseus. They are never mentioned or heard from in this chapter.

 

i'm 10 minutes in and the negativity of the show is bumming me out more than it did siege and ER. seeing the maximals and autobots be just gun-toting negative non-communicative dicks to each other isn't fun or well-done, it's just the good guys being violent, snippy shitheads to each other off the bat because nobody will use common sense.

From the implications of the fate of the Earthrise Cybertronian cast, if you blew up in Chapter 2, you DEEEEEEEEEEAD.
Of course there's an implication that Deeseus was an Exile and therefore there are plenty of other Quints out there.
And typically for Rooster Teeth at show's end two of the characters that are prestige high price point items of the line that are getting rereleases are dead in the official Toyline media (Jetfire & Scorponok)!  

 

I thought it was fine

 

God the beast wars character's voices were awful. Megatron's especially. I know they can't get David Kaye but they could at least get someone with a closer voice. Didn't like Dinobot either.

 

Only halfway through, but this is easily the best of the 3 chapters for me so far. Pleasantly surprised by how solid the Maximal and Predacon voices are (aside from Beast Megs, who is insanely miscast).

Dinobot and Blackarachnia's voices are different, but actually super good imo.

 

Really? I thought Blackarachnia sounds the closest to the original.

 

I thought Blackarachnia was well done and whoever did Dinobot wasn’t that bad either. The worst ones in my opinion was Beast Megs and Primal.

 

Rattrap was pretty decent too. Hints (and I mean really vague hints) of Scott McNeil.

 

Just finished Kingdom.

I actually think that was pretty good.

Not perfect, but still pretty good. Probably the best of the trilogy (although it does suck that they didn't get more episodes like they wanted).

It actually made me kind of excited to see what comes next.

 

BW Megatron just spoke for the firs time..... I was not expecting anything near that voice. He sounds like a fucking moron.

Yeah that's the major problem with this show. I think it would be more watchable if they would have had better voice work . Putting aside my moral concerns with not hiring union voice actors, the voices are so bad it's distracting.

So even if the story isn't terrible I don't really want to watch it because the voice work is so frustrating.

 

Also, constantly hearing them refer to Nemesis as a name of a character rather than the Decepticon ship (like how Optimus had that confusion) confirms to me that Scourge should still be Nemesis Prime's new permanent name.

I found a story where they show the Japanese dubbing of Optimus Primal in Kingdom and it is the same one that did the Mainframe series: Takehito Koyasu.

My congratulations as always to the Japanese who have respected the original voices until now, not like English and Latin America (in my language they did not respect the voices either).
