So Blackarachnia kissing Airazor was a surprise, but also a sneaky shoutout of Silverbolt saving Blackarachnia in the original.

The show was good but I was really... disappointed with BW Megatron's voice and character. Didn't see a chessmaster talking-to-himself kind of character. No.

Well I just saw Kingdom....it was def better then Earthrise.

just finished watching it on netflix............great animation, but the rest, lets just say its not for me and no way am I showing this to my kids

 

Just finished and I have to agree with Rodimus Primal, it's probably the best of the trilogy though that's not saying much. I HATED Beast Wars Megatron's voice. He sounded like a fanboy who can't wait to to fall over himself if it makes G1 Megatron look good. No hate to the actor, but that's just not BW Megatron. Nooooo.

I actually managed to enjoy myself if course with the HUGE caveat of lowered expectations.

 

Away from here general opinion is very good. I'm happy. I'll watch it myself later but its not being universally panned.

 

So non spoiler review/my take on kingdom

Good start, Primal's voice is crap as we knew but not as bad as the trailer, they literally picked the worst line. They've improved Soundwaves voice and finally put the vocoder effect over it. Prime a bit more stoic and less growly thankfully. Glad the character with my least favourite voice from the other two series isn\'t in it.

I think beast megs sort of works but obv you've got to take him as a completely different character (I. E. from a different universe to 90s beastwars) who's just an arse kisser. Not keen on dinobots voice myself, too deep sounds like a rapper but I like his through ark and him screamer and blackarachnia work well as does all the beast/bot interaction in general. Thought it was good how the show used some techno babble and tech to help enrichen the world a bit.

Credit to them I think all the other voices land and dialogue feels better written and delivered. Plot wise it gets a bit wishy washy towards the end but overall I enjoyed it. Not without its faults but like I said the beast/bot interaction works well and they seem to have got more competent at dealing with writing/performing dialogue I\'d say best of the 3 for sure. Does a move I could see annoying folk in the last episode but we\'ll see.

They pulled off the Multiple Trons and Primes much better than I thought they would tbh.

As someone who has read marvel spiderman and into the multiverse I'm used to multiple versions of characters co existing

 

Beast Megatron not only sounds like Scorponok,but also acts like BW Scorponok...I think the only good part of him in Kingdom is the scene where he patted T-Rex's head

Loving everything but the bw Megatron voice. He doesn't sound ruthless

 

Doesn’t mean anything really. WFC is over after Kingdom. The final episode could be setting up for legacy but who knows.

 

I could barely get through one episode, the voice acting is even less tolerable than I remembered.

All of the pauses in his cadence Optimus uses to convey that he's injured just make it sound like he's doing a bad Shatner impression.

 

Just finished episode two, and I'm gonna be honest, I like this more than the first two series. Dinobot's voice is crap however, and bugs me way more than Beast Megatron's ever could.

 

I put it on. Watched until Ironhide showed up and spoke. Hated his voice and immediately shut it off.

 

Episode 2 now and my impressions are as follows:

Tigatron and Dinobot's voices should have been swapped. It makes no sense for them to sound the way they do. In general, the male voices are so crap and indistinct. Female voices are great, though.

Some parts with the off-screen transformations are so blatant. Sucks we didn't see Rattrap and Dinobot transform.

One scene actually got a laugh out of me, the one where both Optimi/Optimusus responded.
