Darn, I would have hoped those would have been made public. Did you see other designs, like Primal, Nightbird, or Arcee? What does Mirage look like?

 

Hey man, yep, saw all of them.

Primal - Beast Mode was similar to the TLK concept art but more rusty looking, brown patches of hair, green eyes.

Nightbird - Robot mode looked very samurai/ninja inspired, cool blades on one arm, sword in the other - car was a Nissan GTR, dark grey with purple alloys.

Arcee - Is pretty G1 accurate design wise although she is red & white instead of pink.

We were only shown the vehicle mode for Mirage, which is the Porsche that we've seen in the set photos. Didn't see his robot mode.

 

I'm strongly guessing that's fake, it doesn't really look like an Optimus truck. No Autobot symbol, no blue. I suppose it could be a truck he scans (maybe Optimus' deco looks different, like in AOE), but it seems like a Google image someone's trying to pass off as a set photo. Especially since the decoration and location match the other photo found on Google.

 

Well considering the Peterbilt 389 was first built in 2006, it’s definitely NOT part of the movie.

 

Hey brother. From what you could see ... do any bots that appeared in the Bumblebee movie retain the design they had in this one? Or are they totally new design?

 

Can you tell us which of these Nissan GT-Rs is Nightbird's vehicle mode?

I would say the R32 but I'm not 100%.

Well, we only saw 2 who were present in the Bee movie - Prime & Arcee. Bee, we just saw the camaro not the robot mode.

Prime looks pretty similar to the bee design just with some added silver.

Arcee looked like a completely new design.

 

Did Prime look like he was an edited version of an already existing picture from Bumblebee (see below), or was it a new piece of concept art/render?

 

It was new concept art, not an edited existing model  

EDIT: Actually on second look I think the image we saw was very similar to it. Some key differences though.

Edit: to be clear, all of the images of this piece of concept art are from Bumblebee. Apparently, the Optimus Prime image shown at the press event for Rise of the Beasts was very similar.

 

I did not watch the video but that image on the bottom is just the concept art of BB Movie Prime that we've seen already.

 

He talks about how the differences between the old concept art and how Prime will look now, like the silver top of his chest and side of his shoulders.

Although @Delzord does the grill guard play into the bot mode in any significant way?

 

Right, but according to Delzord in the video, that old concept art is very similar to the image they were shown at the press event, with some minor changes. I'll edit the post for clarity, though.

Honestly I just want Prime to looks like this.


I know the grey is really the only accurate part, but I'd really like the grill bar to be seen in bot mode and I really like the grill abs.

Didn't have time and assumed the image meant that it was from ROTB, but I get it now.

 

Not from what I saw but I assume that may change.

 

I gave another try.. based on the video.. and since the bumper bar is not seen on the robot mode torso, maybe they put it around the forearms..

 

I love it, I just don't like the slanted stripe though, it feels weird imo
