If this is a K.O., the clue could be the crotch piece having BS written on it. The head sculpt looks very Takara like though, so I think this might be real. (G1 toy vehicle added as a joke.)

The laughing face, looks like the one from the end of ep.21 "Traitor".

Like MP-45 Bee 2.0, this possible Takara MP CJ has terrible proportions. Long torso, long legs, and short T-rex arms. Then there is all the kibble on the back and the feet. The head sculpt for Bee is also terrible. This unknown CJ prototype at least looks to have a good headsculpt.

Here is my quick mspaint digibash of Parkour as a retooled Bee, vs MP-45 vs MP-45 with fixed Proportions (I didn't lengthen the arms, gonna do that later) plus a much better drawn head from TF Devastation.
    Masterpiece Bee Comparison.jpg

Possible Takara MP side by side with Parkour.
    cliffjumper green vs parkour.jpg

I'll nitpick Parkour because he is not perfect. The visible hinges on the sides of the torso are unsightly. The headsculpt is good but who knows what the final version will look like. Huffer headsculpt changed for example. Some complained about Parkour's alt-mode looking Chibi. Takara's will definitely be even more chibi. I can't nitpick more till we see more, but for now that's it.

Parkour physical prototype could have lots of changes by the time it is complete, but for the time being it still looks leagues better than this possible Tak prototype. FT-Bee will most likely look leagues better as well.

Did someone write "BS" on his crotch? Harsh.

I remember transforming Smokescreen on his release, I found it mindblowingly complex and almost everyone who tried to transform it missed the "groin flip" which allowed the waist to rotate, my point is everything is complex and fiddly when you dont know how to do it very well.

I had literally zero interest in MP-45 until I saw this guys stop motion videos and found MP-45 mesmerizing, sure the feet were a disgrace but it was slick and elegant when watched from afar and these are way better than instructions.

For whatever reason, the way he compressed the back kibble looks so much more purposeful than the official photos... this actually looks decent now. Dammit Jaguaratron!

My problem with the transformation is really just because of how fragile it feels. A Fanstoys minibot feels like titanium in comparison.

Like if I take FT Brawn and squeeze it in my hand, its plastic is unaffected (admittedly it's a bit annoying how FT transformations often rely on squeezing a figure and trusting the plastic, but they build that plastic to take it). Meanwhile I'm pretty sure doing the same thing to MP-45 would result in it being crushed like a baby bird.

When that negativity comes trickling in, just post funny nonsensical banter. That’ll get more of us to jump in and drown out all the lame gripes with weird memes and our own ramblings.

And after the whiners leave in disgust at our immaturity, we can get back to “if you show me yours, I’ll show you mine”.

We’re putting the “fun” back in Transfuners. *I was going to use “fundamentalist” but that didn’t sound right so I had to improvise. Sorry.

The price of hyper-toon accuracy, extreme articulation and gimmicks, a bunch of thin, fiddly bits.

That's how it's supposed to be folded up. That's why the backpack never bothered me one bit. He's thinner overall than MP-21, the backpack doesn't hang down over his butt, and it is actually transformed and compressed rather than just a huge turtle half shell! The feet though... 'optimised for frontal viewing'.

It's short for Bobby Skullface. He's actually a HasTak designer that only does the crotches of bots.

It's not a "BS". It's a "B5"... for "batch five". Writing the batch number or notes on a test shot is common.

Still, doesn't look like the kind of material Takara uses in their test shots. Looks like dollar store crap. A proper test shot has to use final materials, not neccesarily colors, because different plastics shrink at different rates. I am not confident that this is Takara at the moment.

Ft Parkour looks a million time better. Bumble v2 is hot garbage and re-shelling garbage is still garbage. IMO.

The "BS" could also be "B5" as in "Bumblebee 5" given we had MP-21 normal, MP-21 red, MP-21 gold and MP-45 being the 4 iterations of the "Bumblebee" mold(s) we have seen so far in the MP line and their designations are pretty random, just how I see it.

What's funny is Cliffjumper was actually a different mold from Bumblebee in G1. Ever since then, though, they have been mold mates. Even with Masterpiece, Takara won't be giving Cliffjumper his own mold again. Going 3rd party is the only way to have a Bumblebee and Cliffjumper with separate molds again.

Dammit you beat me, still theres little point lambasting the MP-45 mold at this point, its not the best but its not MP-5 bad and it will serve a few purposes of benefit.

    It will give options
It will make TT money, the more they make they more they will produce
It will hamstring FTs incredibly dubious business practices of a short release followed by a second release at double the price

Personally theres a lot more that can be done for Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, look what got packed into the NA legends versions, imagine upscaling that and being able to add some more flaps to hide things away and for panel lines to be more "invisible"

MP-21 and MP-45+ are different molds, there you go.

HAH! :D  yeah, you're right. I still have that thing in a box somewhere. It's bad... but... considering that it's entire development from design to test shot was rumored to have been done in 11 days, it is impressive in that regard. Man, that thing is SO awful I kinda love it.

you are right... I should just let it be. I guess it just bugs me that building on what I feel, as a professional toy designer and a life long transformers fan, is a bad design aesthetically and engineering wise, will just be another bad design. I really would like them to take a better stab at the Bumble/Cliffjumper design.

The original G1 Bumble and Cliffjumper toys were indeed mold mates sharing the exact same engineering. Just different shells. BTW :)
